I bought a cake from this place for a party. The cake we ordered was a chocolate mousse cake, in a small size. The cake was quite nice overall being very rich with an intense chocolate flavour, but the components could be improved on, the cake itself was not very appetizing tasting abit dried out and not very fresh. The mousse helped to save it abit though providing some smoothness to distract from the bad sponge.

Pancake King  (Jurong East)

I love peanut pancakes, but am quite choosy about them. This place meets my expectations with freshly made pancake with a peanut filling that is of the right sweetness. The pancake is freshly made so the outside is crispy. My favourite part is the edges which are almost cracker like, as a can peel them off and munch on the crunchy bits. The pancake itself is light and fluffy.

Funan Weng Ipoh Ho Fun  (Toa Payoh)

The Ipoh hor fun here is not bad. The noodles are very soft and smooth and the sauce is pretty tasty. Comes with two prawns which are nice and fresh. The price is reasonable too with the portion of noodles costing about four dollars and eighty cents. Overall pretty good for a food court dish better than what I expected. Nothing to complain about but nothing to shout about either

The Rojak here is my favorite! They are very generous with the peanut and the sauce is very tasty. The best part is the you char Kway which is freshly toasted to order. The Rojak is also a big portion for the price and includes cuttle fish unlike most places these days. The sauce is pretty sweet so this may not suit everyone though. Oh and prepared to queue for at least half an hour! This stall is very popular especially at dinner time.

The dry hor fun at old town white coffee was the dish I had for breakfast one weekend. The noodles were quite tasty with the Ipoh style noodles being tossed with a savory dark sauce and some meat shreds and prawns. The only thing I disliked was that it was very oily. There was quite abit of visible oil in te sauce which was very off putting. The portion was also not very substantial but I guess that's ok for a breakfast portion.
