Famous meatballs Smile Jul 23, 2013

Categories : Western Variety | Kids-Friendly

After all the hypes on Ikea’s meatballs, I decided to try it out myself. They are indeed perfect bites of savory goodness and are equally bready and meaty. The potatoes tasted quite bland and I think serving mashed potato would be better. The savoury creamy sauce and the tangy lingonberry sauce complement each other quite well.

Garlic Seafood Linguine Smile Jul 23, 2013

Categories : Steaks and Grills | Kids-Friendly

Linguine tossed with fresh salmon, prawns, mussels and garlic white wine, fresh tomato and basil in a flavourful marinara sauce, this pasta was delicious. The salmons and mussels given were in little amount but the prawns given were quite a generous amount. The seafoods were fresh and were well coated with the sauce. The sauce, which was a mixture of garlic white wine and marinara sauce, was really flavourful and tasty.

Cheap italian food Smile Jul 22, 2013

This seafood gratin is a dish of penne in a creamy white sauce topped with shrimps, squid rings and mussels. The white sauce is flavourful and matches well with the penne. The prawns and squid rings were quite fresh but the mussels were definitely not.

The mushroom cream spaghetti is a dish of spaghetti in cream sauce topped with mushrooms and cheese flakes. The white sauce and cheese flakes mixed together was very flavourful. A very cheesy dish rather then mushroomy dish.

This salmon doria is a dish of baked rice in white sauce topped with salmon slices. The salmon slices were overcooked, dry and hard.

Nothing can go wrong with sweet corn mixed with butter.

This pineapple and bacon pizza is Ssaizeriya's version of hawaiian pizza. The toppings were quite generous and the cheese and meat sauce is a good combination. The crust used was like those sold in NTUC.

Glass noodles with Black pepper soft shell crab: Yummy, the glass noodles were well flavoured with black pepper and the soft shell crabs were fried to perfect crispiness.

Thai mango salad-
Thai version of salad with rice vermicelli instead of the all vegetables.
Sweet and savoury.

Pineapple rice: The rice has a strong pineapple taste and goes well with the pork floss toppings.
The cashew nuts and pineapple cubes added some crunch to the dish.

Soft shell crab: Covered in a flavourful batter, they were fried to a perfect crispiness.

Cafe cartel Smile Jul 16, 2013

ST. LOUIS PORK RIBS- A large spare rib roasted with Cartel’s homemade BBQ sauce and spreaded with honey glaze, it was so flavourful and delicious.
The spare rib was so well marinated, juicy, moist and tender to the extent that I even licked the bone to ensure there are no slightest bits of meat left.

MUSHROOM SOUP-The mushroom soup was the thick and creamy type that I like, it was more soupy.
The bread crumbs helped added some crunch.

GARLIC BREAD-Not much garlic taste.

PORK CHOP- The pork chop was well marinated but was kind of thin and small, goes well with the bbq sauce.
The jacket potato tasted quite bland.
The crayfishes were small and contain little flesh inside.
Sweet corns were juicy and crunchy.

BAGUETTE SERVED WITH BUTTER- Baguettes served were warm and fluffy and goes well with the butter.

GRILLED TENDER CHICKEN in mushroom sauce- The mushroom sauce is flavourful and complemented the juicy and tender chicken chop really well, but the chicken chop was quite small and thin.
The potato wedges were well seasoned and has the the real potato taste.
The seasonal veggies tasted nice with the complimentary rodeo sauce.
The crayfishes were small and contain little flesh inside.

SIDE SALAD-Plain salad tossed in mayonnaise sauce topped with carrot slices. Simple and hearty.
