Beef kway teow Smile Jul 10, 2013

Categories : Singaporean Chinese | Coffeeshop | Noodles

I like to order my beef kway teow dry as I think gravy is more flavourful and tastier than soup version.
The gravy was really thick and flavourful and in such generous amount which covered over all the other ingredients, thus able to taste the sauce in every bite.
The kway teow was cooked just nice and springy.
Although I prefer the beef to be in cube forms, but the beef slices in this plate of beef hor fun is just as satisfying enough, soft and tender and quite a lot of slices given.

Egg benny pancakes OK Jul 10, 2013

Categories : Café | Desserts and Cakes

Egg benny tastes so different with pancakes, quite a good combination that I just realized.
I liked how different it tasted as a whole as compared to having eggs benny or pancakes on their own.
With the pancakes, it was totally a whole new taste which I kind of enjoyed it.
The bacon strips are flavourful and did not contain too much fat which is good.
However, the syrup was a little disappointing though.
Also, although they specialize in pancakes, but their pancakes were not exactly fluffy, honestly speaking.
But still, the cozy and youthful ambience made up for the average food, so overall not bad.

minced meat noodles Smile Jul 10, 2013
Categories : Hawker Centre | Noodles

Springy thin egg noodles, tossed in a chilli, garlic oil and black vinegar sauce with minced meat, pork slices, pig liver and fried lardons.
The noodles is flavourful, with just the right amount of sauce & vinegar.
I love it dry with chili but just as many customers ask for soup as well.
I can taste that the minced meat is very well marinated.
Every ingredients in the bowl were just in harmony.

Leat Super Burger Smile Jul 10, 2013
Categories : Restaurant | Steaks and Grills

The topmost layer was the usual lettuce, tomato and mayo.
Second lays a thick layer of fried onions. Beneath the slightly saltish batter revealed sweet onions which were perfectly fried to crispiness.
The batter was little close to that of the seasoning of Aston's fries.
Even after sitting aside for some time, it still maintained its crispiness very well. Next reveals strips of crispy bacon, slightly charred at the edges. At the bottom sat the juicy beefy patty with melted cheese on it, drenched in hickory BBQ sauce. All sandwiched in between the toasted fluffy sesame bun.

seafood zuppa Smile Jul 10, 2013

Categories : Italian | Pasta | Halal

This pasta costs $7.90 and is the soupy type with quite a mild tasting soup.
The soup is not spicy at all, in fact it taste like tomato soup with diced prawns and squid rings in it.
The seafoods given are quite generous and the squid rings are very springy, but the prawns are small though.
For those who don't like rich creamy type pasta, you can give this pasta a try for its light soup.
