java chip frappucino Smile Jun 20, 2013
Categories : American | Coffee

The Java Chip frap is chocolate and java chips, combined with coffee, milk and blended with ice.
It’s then topped with whipped cream and chocolate drizzle.
I got chocolate chips in just about every sip.
It reminded me of a luscious chocolate chip ice cream.
The only thing I didn’t like is that the chocolate chips are likely to become stuck in the straw.
This drink totally hit the spot taste wise, a nice blend with the espresso.
It even became tastier when melted.

pork katsu curry rice Smile Jun 20, 2013
Categories : Japanese | Food Court

Nice subtle Japanese curry flavour that taste very different from Indian curries.
The curry is more towards sweet taste and only has a hint of spiciness, again very subtle.
The pork cutlet was lightly breaded and crispy on the outside but semi-tender (not super tender, but not dry either) on the inside.
Served with white rice which taste like Japanese sticky rice, perfect match with the curry sauce.

chicken katsu curry ramen OK Jun 19, 2013
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Japanese | Restaurant | Ramen

The chicken katsu curry ramen is not really chicken katsu curry ramen in my opinion, its more like curry ramen and chicken katsu as side dish.
This ramen has a really watery soup base and am rather disappointed that it tasted just like Myojo curry instant noodle.
The soup tasted more towards sweet than curry flavour.
The chicken katsu tasted nice though, crispy on the outside and tender on the meat and not oily.

dim sums OK Jun 19, 2013

The carrot cakes contain eight small pieces in bite size, which is more convenient to eat.
The texture of the carrot cake was lovely and smooth, but it was quite light on carrot flavour.

The prawn filling was wonderfully crunchy and tasty and possessed a strong aroma of sesame oil.
The skin was nicely done but could have been a little lighter in texture.

The BBQ char siew buns are light and fluffy with really sweet dough and really disappointing fillings.
The fillings are drier than what I usually ate and not fragrant enough.
The sweet dough definitely overpowered the fillings.

Look plain and taste kinda bland.

Nothing spectacular but the prawns are quite fresh.

chocolate layer cake Smile Jun 19, 2013

I think this is the best bakery shop chocolate layered cake I have ever tried, for only $3, both the quantity and quality did not compromise though. It contains two layers of cake and two layers of chocolate cream, alternating, and then the topped with some sort of chocolate powder and then chocolate flakes. The cake layers are soft and quite moist and flavourful. The chocolate cream layers are creamy and chocolatey and also has a tinge of coffee taste to it. The chocolate flakes are generously sprinkled and matched perfectly with the chocolate powder. This cake is really good for your wallet and taste buds!
