Cedele - Eat Well & Be Well Smile Jul 15, 2013
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Café

Went Cedele at Wheelock Place for my late lunch before going for hair scalp treatment. I ordered their Wild Blueberry Pancakes with Vanilla Butter and Maple Syrup from their "Breakfast Whole Day" menu. It comes with a choice of bacon rashers or sausages and I had chosen the bacon.
Mango Lassi ($6.50) I like lassi and especially when it is mixed with fruity flavour.

Fluffy blueberry pancakes ($12.90)

Nice and fluffy, but the portion might be a bit too big for one person.

Jurong Hilltop Restaurant Smile Jul 13, 2013

Categories : Japanese | Restaurant

By the time we left Jurong Birdpark, it was already 3pm. We haven't had our lunch so I asked hubby to follow the signage that led to Jurong Hilltop Restaurant, which is a bit further up from the birdpark. Reached the carpark gantry, the parking fee is $3. We found our way to the restaurant which is at the basement of a swirling staircase. Reached the restaurant and we realized that we were the only customer!! Oops.. feel quite awkward. They served 3 types of cusines here and I requested for Japanese Teppanyaki.

On every table, you will find a folded orange apron and the staff will help you wear the apron once you are seated. =P

I ordered the garlic rice ($3.50) and venison set ($14).
The garlic rice tasted really really good! Really left me craving for more.

Hubby ordered the beef set.

The chef will divide our portion of venison and beef for us so each of us have a plate of venison and a plate of beef. The set also comes with a plate of beansprouts.
My suggestion for you is if you want to come and try out this restaurant, maybe you should come here for dinner. After dinner, you can have a very nice night view of Jurong/ Tuas area at the hilltop as well - Romantic?

Kungfu Paradise @ Bedok Point Smile Jul 13, 2013

TGIF!! Decided to drive out to have dinner on a Friday evening after work. Hubby wanted to drive to Wawawa at Bedok reservoir but I thought it would be good to go on a weekend whereby we can reach there earlier to catch the beautiful sunset. In the end, we went to Bedok Point. I think basically Bedok Point is like a Food Mall with many restaurants, right from the 1st level. There was a especially long queue at "Chicken Hotpot" so I suppose the food is good there? I am not too sure as I have not tried it yet. After going from 1st level to the top level, we decided to go down to the 1st level again as we couldn't really make up our mind what to eat. Dilemma when you have too many choices.

We decided on Kungfu Paradise. When we reached the restaurant, a friendly staff apologized to us saying that there was no seat available and we might have to wait 20 to 25 minutes for a seat. As we almost wanted to walk away in disaapointment, I saw three tables of guests standing up, preparing to leave. I pointed to the staff, telling her that there was seat available. She politely told us to wait while she would go and clear the table. So in the end, we still got a table at Kungfu Paradise. smile This was my second time here actually.

I ordered the seafood hor fun. It was quite flavoursome and the prawns were very fresh.

Hubby had noodles with egg and sausages.

We ended our meal with this dessert which looked really colourful.

As it is my hubby's birthday month, I told him to sign up for the Paradise loyalty card which can be used in all the 7 restaurants in the Paradise Group.

My parents decided to go and explore Marina Bay Sands. I suggested to dad to park our car at Marina Square and we could take a slow walk over to Marina Bay Sands via the Helix Bridge. smile As such, we also had our dinner here. We were not very hungry so we just settled at Jiaxiang Kuching Restaurant for a bowl of Kolo noodle each. Most importantly, there was no queue and we didn't have to wait for too long before our food arrived. The menu varieties are quite limited. For noodle, you either choose the normal Jiaxiang Kolo mee ($6) or their special Kolo mee ($8.90) which include abalone and fried wanton. I loved the texture of the noodle but hated it when I found a lump of noodles not loosened up properly in my bowl. I vaguely remember that I did have good memory of the kolo mee here and thus I recommended this to my parents. Nevertheless, I still enjoyed the fried wantons dipped in mayo/ chilli sauce.

Silvery Moon @ Pasir Ris Park Smile Jul 12, 2013
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Restaurant

Although we have been staying in Pasir Ris for almost 5 years, this was the first time we came to Silvery Moon at Pasir Ris Park for dinner. I had chanced upon this place from reading a blog post. Most diners, mainly families with kids, would opt to sit inside the air-con restaurant whereas the smokers outside.

Hubby ordered Krombacher Weizen (Wheat Beer) - $11.50 which tasted sweet and refreshing.

Cranberry Juice - $2.50 (top-up with main course)

Hubby's Garlic Prawns and Steak. The steak was quite tough and difficult to cut.

I was quite satisfied with my huge portion of Breaded Chicken Schnitzels but the portion was really too big for me to finish on my own.
