Fishball Noodles OK Oct 03, 2013
Categories : Singaporean | Hawker Centre

This stall is always packed with long queues during lunch hour, probably because the food is decent at a low affordable price. 1 bowl of fishball noodles cost as low as $2 (for small). Since I felt that I had a better appetite today, I decided to order the large portion which cost $3 which in the end, was a bit too much for me still. It came with 4 bouncy fishballs. I like my noodles dry with a bit of chili. Overall, the texture of the noodle was good, with generous serving of minced meat.

Lunch with colleague SL at Old Town White Coffee at White Sands Shopping Mall. We wanted to try out Pepper Lunch but the queue was too long, probably some weekday lunch promotion.

I ordered the Hainanese Chicken Chop Rice. Haha.. compared to my family's authentic Hainanese Chicken Chop, this one pales in comparison. tongue

However, the dish was still decent enough to make me want to come back for more. smile

Bongo Burgers @ Jurong Bird Park Smile Oct 02, 2013

Categories : Burgers and Sandwiches

There is a teachers' day promotion at the Singapore Zoo/ Jurong Bird Park and Night Safari, and teachers get to enjoy free admission to these 3 places of attraction. Accompanying adult get to enjoy 20% off. Thus, I decided to make use of this opportunity to revisit Jurong Bird Park and also to try bird photography with the new lens. I remember the last time when I visited JBP was during my primary school days!

We left home at around 9.30am. We had breakfast at Bongo Burgers but as we were still early, we could only order their breakfast set.. No burger. I ordered the Bongo Sausage Breakfast Set and Hubby ordered the Turkey Ham set.

Pretty tomato! smile

Bongo Breakfast set ($6.90). Simple breakfast and the price was quite reasonable.

Azur @ Crowne Plaza Hotel OK Oct 02, 2013
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Multi-Cuisine | Hotel | Buffet

A birthday celebration for a colleague over lunch buffet at Azur, located at level 2 of Crowne Plaza Hotel which is linked to Changi Airport Terminal 3. Somehow, most of the food didn't really interest me and I didn't really eat much for this buffet, only took four plates of food.

The glutinous red bean ball was nice. The rest... so-so.

Oysters were fresh but supplies ran out quickly.

Took another fried glutinous red bean ball.

The brunch starts from 12.30pm and each pax for the buffet cost $45++ during weekends.

Koi Smile Oct 02, 2013

Categories : Taiwanese | Bubble Tea/ Tea

Hubby and I reached Bugis+ quite early. He went to Sim Lim Square to get some stuff while I did a bit of window shopping at Bugis+ first. It was around 11am and I went to Koi to try out my luck (hopefully no long queue). So many people were raving about Koi but I had yet to try it out. Oh yes! Almost no queue! I placed my order for hazelnut milk tea and I was given the ticket number 61, with only 4 person before me smile

The pearls were smaller and very chewy, but after sometimes, I found it a bit tiring to chew the pearls and there were harder than the norm. The hazelnut milk was nice though, but as I ordered 100% sugar, it ended up a bit too sweet.
