Red Peri Scorcher Smile May 28, 2013

Tried the newly released Red Peri Scorcher and I liked it!

The sauce is a Peri + Mayonnaise mix which is not too spicy, but the meat was great! They are not as spicy as the Mcspicy, and the skin is different too. The Red Peri Scorcher burger have a more crispy skin with super juicy and soft chicken muscle meat in it.

Burger comes with chicken piece and lettuces. No cheese. Definitely going to have this again!

Chicken Fried Rice Smile May 28, 2013

Tried out the chicken fried rice for the first time in this stall and was quite satisfied with my meal.

The fried rice is a little spicy by default but still bearable for me (not very good at eating spicy food). Food also came hot with is a very plus point.

Rice is well coated with egg and they are also quite generous in-terms of the ingredients - plently of Chicken. Is was delicious.

Simple and satisfying meal. Will come back again.

Saba Set Smile May 23, 2013

Tried the Saba set from the Korean Cuisine stall at Sembawang Shopping Centre's Kopitam and it was really nice! The Saba came piping hot and the skin and some of the corner parts were crispy and salty. I like it alot.

Service was not bad as well. We order 2 sets and so we were entitled to 4 side dishes, and the staffs had the initiative to give us 4 different side dishes instead of 2 sets of 2 same side dishes.

Will come back for the Saba. Love the Saba.

My colleague who is from Myanmar introduced us to this restaurant which serves rather authentic Myanmar food (as according to her.. I wouldnt know), so this is my 1st time trying Myanmar food.

I order this Dry rice noodles with pork which to my surprise, is very nice and suitable for our tastebuds! There's some peanuts, spring onions, minced meat and black sauce with the noodles and you'll have to mix them up before you eat. The noodle is really dry though and it's hard to mix them so you might have to add some soup in it.

We also ordered this pork knuckles soup to share. The soup is clear and not oily, there is a strong pepper taste in it as well. There are chunky pork knuckles meat in the soup which are quite chewy and nice!

Overall this is a very nice experience. The food is cheap and very nice. I was a bit afraid to try out unknown Myanmar food at first but this really gave me a nice surprise! Would go back again.

Salmon Yaki Udon Smile May 20, 2013
Categories : Japanese | Restaurant | Steamboat/Hot Pot | BBQ

Decided to try out Sho Teppan for dinner after reading some of the reviews and was there at about 7.20pm on a Friday night.

There was a queue outside the restaurant as it was peak hour, but waiting time is bearable. We waited for about 10-20mins before we got a seat.

The concept of the restaurant was rather interesting, I was seated at a counter seat and there's an electric stove in front of every seat. A staff is also positioned inside the counter to help if you need any assistance with the cooking. Due to stoves, the seats are paced and is a little hard to share..

I order a Salmon Yaki Udon set for myself and the set comes with a salad and miso soup.

The salad is very nice! The vegetables are fresh and the sauce is refreshing and appetizing.

My Salmon Udon before it was cooked. Rather generous amount of Salmon.

After it was cooked.. I would say it's quite nice and you would feel a small sense of accomplishment if you are like me, who doesnt cook. Downside is you will smell when you leave the restaurant from all the smoke.

Also need to take extra note to turn down the heat when you want to pour the egg in as it gets burnt rather quickly. Also leave it at low heat when your food is cooked and you want to start eating..

Dont mind coming back to try the soup base set meals next time!
