Often packed for supper! Smile May 14, 2013

Categories : Cantonese/Hong Kong

Here for supper after midnight movie again! this place opens til 4 am! Their main dishes to me were a little small, which always leave stomach room for their side dishes which never failed to disappoint and desserts which i always feel the portions are often way to much and sick to have after eating a while.

i almost always order their tang yuan in paste when im here as it is one of those desserts with sizing i felt was okay to eat along. Pretty decent but nothing to scream about. I have tried their entire dessert menu and the warm coconut sago is my favourite item!

Food always served freshly cooked so everything tasted pretty good to me. Loved their dimsum especially gyoza and mango prawn roll.

Place was packed and noisy even at 3am. Service rather quick though took some effort to get attention of staffs at times. Food little pricey in my opinion.

fantastic Xiao long bao! Smile May 14, 2013

I love xiao long baos as proven in the photo showing 2 of them missing. I never can wait to eat it whole the moment it is served fresh and piping hot, scalding my tongue in the process.

I would love to try all the 8 flavours, this outlet however only served 4. All were perfect, skin thin and even throughout, delicate but strong enough to contain just the right amount of filling and juice inside. Eat it plain or with soysauce and garlic, there can never be enough! If i had the money, i could eat this all day long!

Coconut egg tart OK May 14, 2013

Egg tart with a twist

Egg tart with a twist

Usually when i step into breadtalk there will be the scent of lovely freshly baked breads, this outlet however, perhaps due to being in open air did not attract me with its scent but as a fan of breadtalk, i walked in. Having tried and loving their coconut bun, as well as being a big fan of egg tarts, i jsut had to try this coconut egg tart. Egg tart filling was generous and similar as the ones they used in the bun, however, it was slightly disappointing as i felt that it seemed like they just dumped the filling in the middle such that the sides did not have any coconut at all. Egg tart was also not hot and crispy when i bought it so did not taste as yummy as it should have been. Queue was long and staff seem like they are taking their own sweet time.

Spending per head: Approximately $1(Tea)

Yummy Irish lamb stew! Smile May 14, 2013

White toasted bread, boiled carrots, mashed potatoes and generous serving of tender and juicy meat which was not fatty all in a broth of just the right amount of savoury and thickness which did not make you feel sick after finishing the entire bowl. Portion was very generous, hence i did not think that the price that came with it was too much to ask for.

yummy chicken! Smile May 14, 2013

Categories : Hawker Centre

Chicken was cooked perfectly - tender, meaty and not too oily. Chicken had an addictive and mouthwatering natural chicken oil aroma as it was not cooked in any sauce. My only complaint however was that it was not served hot.
Rice was simple and nothing too savoury which complements well with the chicken even without any sauce. I liked the fact that the chicken rice came with 3 sauces separate from dish - ginger, chilli sauce and black soy sauce.

Staff can be rude when busy, ignoring and rushing us to make decision or to grab the sauces ourselves. Food was served very fast.
