Golden Deal Smile Nov 30, 2013
Categories : American | Fast Food | Halal

I ordered the Golden Deal 1 which comes with 3 pieces of Chicken, fries and a cup of soft drink for about $5.

I like that the fried skin of the chicken is crispy and not too thick, and the chicken in it tender and yummy. There isn't too much seasoning but I like it this way.

The only thing disappointing is that they dot seem to give those fried crispy bits anymore.

I also enjoy the fries at Long John Silver as they still taste like real potatoes instead of like those from Mcdonald's, which tasted really processed.

Good value Smile Nov 30, 2013

There isn't much places at Orchard that serves affordable food, but I think this stall at Orchard Ion Food Opera is one of them.

I ordered a 1 meat 1 Veg meal for $5.50 (not very cheap I know, but this is Orchard) and I'm very happy that it's stated that the meat doesn't include beef, but it includes fish!

So I ordered this huge slab of fish with some vegetables. The fish is delicious and fresh in a little sour Assam sauce.. And very worth since fish usually costly. Vegetables are crunchy and fresh too.

Will definitely come back for more!

Ma la chicken noodles Smile Nov 30, 2013   (Related Review)

I've tried the Ma La hot pot at this stall before so I decided to have something different today and order the Ma La Chicken noodles for $5.50.

The noodles is the Chinese La Mian type of noodles which is not bad. The soup is not as spicy this time, and not as salty as well. I think the flour from the noodles sort of neutralised the spiciness. I think I prefer the soup without noodles.

The chicken is seasoned and salty on it's own. It's quite delicious.

3 pieces tenders meal Smile Nov 30, 2013

My favourite meal to order at Popeyes is actually the 3 pieces tender meal because there are totally no bones in it, and like it's name, they are super tender.

The meal comes with 3 pieces of tender, one biscuit, a side dish and a cup of soft drinks.

For my side dish, I chose the whipped potato. Which is also my favourite item at Popeyes. The potato itself is soft & creamy, and the sauce is absolutely divine! Garlicky, creamy & salty.. A must order every time I dine here.

Nice Shabu Shabu Smile Nov 29, 2013
Categories : Japanese | Buffet | Sukiyaki/Shabu Shabu

Shabusai is a Shabu Shabu steamboat buffet restaurant located at the 5th floor of Causeway point. Pricing for adult is $22.99++ on a weekday dinner and you can add $1.99++ for free flow drinks & ice cream.

You can choose 2 soup base from a selection of about 8.. I chose to have the spicy 1 and Pork 1. I especially like the spicy soup base as it's not too spicy and is really delicious.

Infact, both soup came already full of flavour. Not those plain tasteless type where you have to boil for a long time with the ingredients for the soup to have flavour.

For the Meat, you'll have to order from staffs instead of helping yourself at the buffet table. This way, the meat maintains fresh and you are less likely to over-take. Quite like what Suki-ya is doing.

The selection at the buffet table is very limited. Mostly vegetables, hardly any meatballs as well. They have their own specialty minced meat like minced chicken with cheese, but it doesnt taste nice to me.

The best is still the meat, which is thinly sliced and soaks up the broth well.

The soft serve is okay, with slightly heavier milk taste than most outside ones. We only had our ice cream at 9+ after the last order and hardly any toppings are left so we were a little disappointed.

Date of Visit: Nov 27, 2013

Spending per head: Approximately $30(Dinner)
