Passion Fruit Meringue Tart

Passion Fruit Meringue Tart

Ordered Passion Fruit Meringue Tart from Carpenter and Cook and it was definitely not a disappointing one.

The crust of the Passion Fruit Meringue Tart was pretty crunchy and its texture was quite similar to a biscuit. Underneath the crust was a rich and refreshing passion fruit filling. The whole combination of the crust, passion fruit and the sweet fluffy meringue was unexpectedly delicious.

This dessert costs about $6.50 which I think is still affordable to many. The ambience of the restaurant was delightful and exclusive. Also the plates they used over there were pretty and unique.

Cinnamon Pretzel  Smile Jul 22, 2013

Cinnamon Pretzel

Cinnamon Pretzel

There are different kinds of pretzel with different toppings. I ordered the cinnamon sugar pretzel one which is my favourite flavour among all kinds of pretzel.

The cinnamon sugar pretzel was sweet yet I don't feel sick and nauseous even after eating a few. It tasted equally good even without dipping into the caramel sauce given which meant to enhance the taste of the pretzel. The cinnamon sugar pretzel was chewy and appetizing, it's good to eat it during tea break.

The outlets are pretty accessible and I can buy the pretzels easily with just a few minutes walk from the MRT station.

Soya Bean Curd Smile Jul 22, 2013

Soya Bean Curd

Soya Bean Curd

Bought these Lao Ban Soya Bean Curds at Old Airport Road Food Central and the stall owner actually took them out from the fridge.

The texture of the bean curd was smooth and silky and it melted immediately after placing into my mouth. There was a mild sweetness in the bean curd which was tasty and refreshing. It was a good and recommended dessert to eat in such hot and humid Singapore weather.

The Lao Ban Soya Bean curd costs about $1.50 which I think is pretty affordable although it may be slightly pricey than some other "brands" of bean curd.

Milk Tea Smile Jul 22, 2013

Milk Tea

Milk Tea

I ordered medium size cup of milk tea with pearls and it was $2.40.

There are 5 levels of sweetness for customer to choose from and I have chosen the 70% sugar level as lower than that will be too bland for me and more than that will be too unhealthy. Also, the amount of pearls they gave was quite a lot as there will be plenty of pearls leftover after I finished the milk tea.

I actually prefer KOI Café than some other Cafés as the milk tea was rich and smooth. Also, the pearls were soft, chewy and there were mild sweetness in them.

The KOI Café is located at the first level of Yishun Golden Village and it is a newly open stall. There isn't much queue when buying the drinks during non peak hours time.

Tom Yam Seafood Linguine Smile Jul 22, 2013

Tom Yam Seafood Linguine

Tom Yam Seafood Linguine

Ordered this Tom Yam Seafood Linguine at the Ice Edge Cafe and the taste of this dish was pretty unique and appetizing.

There were fresh prawn, mussel and calamari mixed together with linguine as well as chef’s special tom yam sauce. The prawns were soft and crunchy and the combination of the tender linguine and the tom yam sauce was superb. The only imperfect part of this dish was the slightly over chewy mussel and calamari.

Ice Edge Cafe was an ideal place for chilling and for relaxation as the ambience of the place was pretty good.
