Custard Bun

Ordered Fried Yam, Deep-fried Prawn with Mango Roll, Custard Bun, Chee Cheong Fun with Char Siew, Shrimp Dumpling and Siew Mai. Out of all, Custard Bun and Deep-fried Prawn with Mango Roll are my favourite Dim Sum.

The outer layer of the Deep-fried Prawn with Mango Roll was thin and crispy. The prawn in the roll was crunchy and the combination of Mango and Prawn was good. The taste was further enhanced when the roll was dipped into the mayonnaise.

The bun was very soft and the filling was hot and sweet with a creamy egg yolk taste. The filling spread out immediately with a nice fragrant smell after a small bite.

The environment there was pretty good, similar to the foodcourt. It was a good place to have Dim Sum over there.

Cheesy Bites Trio Pizza Smile Jul 21, 2013

Cheesy Bites Trio Pizza

Cheesy Bites Trio Pizza

Ordered this regular size of Cheesy Bites Trio Pizza at Northpoint Pizza Hut together with 6 pieces of Mini Hash Brown and 4 pieces of Honey Roasted Wings. The whole set costed $26.50 excluding GST and service charge. I think the set was pretty affordable for 2 to 3 people to dine.

There were 3 different flavour bites on the side of the Cheesy Bites Trio Pizza and they are of Parmesan, Chipotle and Sesame flavour. The one that I like the most is the Chipotle flavour bite as it tasted good and the cheese in it melted immediately after placing in month. The centre of the pizza was filled with popcorn chicken and they tasted really good with the cheese placed on the middle of the pizza.

The surrounding of the restaurant is good although the restaurant is slightly smaller than other Pizza Hut outlets.

Swedish Meatballs and Pasta with tomato sauce

Swedish Meatballs and Pasta with tomato sauce

Ordered Swedish Meatballs and Pasta with tomato sauce at Tampines Ikea Café and the dishes over there were just as appetizing despite Ikea is a company that designs and sells ready-to-assemble furniture, appliances, and home accessories.

The Swedish Meatballs were fragrant and they tasted superb together with the brown gravy. The Pasta with Tomato Sauce was pretty good as well but it was much more normal as compared to the Swedish Meatballs.

Ordered 15 pieces of Swedish Meatballs and they costed $8 which is pretty affordable for such delicious meatballs despite there were once news about horse meats in Swedish Meatballs.

The Pasta with Tomato Sauce was $4.50 and it was a pretty healthy dish as it was a vegetarian dish.

The Café was not very crowded on a weekday afternoon, hence, the place is pretty good for a quiet lunch.

Recommended Dish(es):  Swedish Meatballs

Spending per head: Approximately $13(Lunch)

Kway Chap

Kway Chap

Tried this Kway Chap set meal at one of the stalls at Orchard Cineleisure Koufu since Kway Chap is my all time favourite.

There were half an egg, few pieces of dou gan, porks, pig skins and few slices of fish cake on a small red plate. Although the servings are not a lot but they tasted pretty delicious and not too salty. The only thing I dislike about the Kway Chap was the amount of pig skins the stall owner gave since I'm not a pig skins lover.

There wasn't much people over there when I was having my lunch over there on a weekday afternoon, hence, finding seats over there weren't of much difficulties.

The Kway Chap set meal costed $4.50 and was actually much more affordable than other dining outlets in Orchard and Somerset areas.

Boston Clam Chowder & Velvety Mushroom Stroganoff

Boston Clam Chowder & Velvety Mushroom Stroganoff

Ordered Boston Clam Chowder and Velvety Mushroom Stroganoff at The Soup Spoon and the restaurant is one of the few restaurants in Singapore that has specialty in soups.

For the Boston Clam Chowder, there were celeries and potatoes on the top of the soup, making it more appealing and appetizing. The soup had plenty of chunky clams that were chewy and they went well with the crunchy celeries and the soft potatoes.

For Velvety Mushroom Stroganoff, the mushrooms in it were smooth and fresh. The tantalizing aroma of the mushrooms are pleasant and unforgettable.

The soups were pretty affordable as well, they were $5.60 to $6.90 for Regular and $6.80 to $8.20 for Grande.

The environment there was pretty noisy and I could see shoppers outside the restaurant easily.
