Pork Katsu Curry Rice Smile Jul 14, 2013

Pork Katsu Curry Rice

Pork Katsu Curry Rice

Ordered this Pork Katsu Curry Rice at Coco Ichibanya as there was a "Must Try" sentence stated on the menu. The restaurant was most popular for the curry and almost all of the dishes come with curry.

The fried pork cutlet tasted crispy and crunchy on the exterior before it was mixed with the curry. Although the crispiness was gone after in contact with the curry, the overwhelming taste of the curry did blend in well with the fried pork cutlet.

The curry was good as the spice was enough and fragrant. It went well with the rice and the fried pork cutlet.

The dish costs about $12 excluding GST and service charge which I think is pretty affordable for working adults.

Beef Curry Udon Smile Jul 14, 2013

Beef Curry Udon

Beef Curry Udon

Ordered this Beef Curry Udon at Itacho Sushi as I'm both a curry and beef lover. The restaurant was most popular for the huge varieties of sushi but I decided to try out some other dish.

The thickness of the udon was just nice and it was tender, smooth and chewy. Sadly, the curry gravy was not thick and spicy enough, it was suitable for people who can't really take spice. The beef was thinly sliced, hence it was not too hard and unbreakable.

The cost of the dish including GST an service charge was about $20 and the ambience of the restaurant was pretty good as well.

Pork Fried Rice and Shoyu Ramen Smile Jul 14, 2013

Pork Fried Rice and Shoyu Ramen

Pork Fried Rice and Shoyu Ramen

Order Pork Fried Rice (on the left) and Shoyu Ramen (on the right) at Ramen Santouka and both of the dishes tasted pretty good. However, I would prefer the Pork Fried Rice more. This is because there were plenty of small and irregular sizes of pork mixed randomly in the fried rice and they are tender, fragrant and not to hard. There were other spices and ingredients in the fried rice as well which have enhance the taste.

As for the Shoyu Ramen, the soy sauce flavoured soup tasted good and was fragrant. However, the hard boiled soy sauce flavoured egg besides the ramen doesn't taste that fresh. It tasted like those instant egg where most supermarkets sell and I don't really like it. Also, the ramen was quite normal too.

Rosti

Rosti

Ordered Rosti at Paulaner Brauhaus and it was definitely not a disappointing one. Rosti was a combination of potatoes, dry smoked hams and a layer of cheese on top. The thin outer layer of Rosti was slightly crispy and crunchy. The inner Rosti was moist and the taste of the potatoes was overwhelming. Hence, the taste of the dry smoked hams was quite minimum. However, the whole combination still tastes really good.

As Paulaner Brauhaus is a German restaurant, the menu has two different written languages which are English and German. Hence, there wasn't any problem reading the menu.

It costs $13.80 (excluding GST and service change) which I think is pretty alright for a restaurant with good ambience.

Spending per head: Approximately $16

Pig Organs Soup

Ordered this Pig Organs Soup with Noodle at one of the stalls and the food was really delicious. The noodle was tender and chewy, the taste was enhanced with the well-mixed black soya sauce on it. In the Pig Organs Soup, there were Pig Livers, Pork Meat Balls and Pork Ribs. The soup was good as it was fragrance and rich in taste.

I pretty adore the environment of Malaysia Boleh as the place was decorated quite similarly to the surroundings in 80s and 90s. I also adore the utensils they have used as they are pretty uncommon now.

However, it was a pity that the serving of the Pig Organs is not sufficient for a food lover like me. The cost of the dish was about $3.50 which I think is pretty affordable to all. The stall was located right at the back of the place hence it's quite easy for people to locate it.
