Rosti

Rosti

Ordered Rosti at Paulaner Brauhaus and it was definitely not a disappointing one. Rosti was a combination of potatoes, dry smoked hams and a layer of cheese on top. The thin outer layer of Rosti was slightly crispy and crunchy. The inner Rosti was moist and the taste of the potatoes was overwhelming. Hence, the taste of the dry smoked hams was quite minimum. However, the whole combination still tastes really good.

As Paulaner Brauhaus is a German restaurant, the menu has two different written languages which are English and German. Hence, there wasn't any problem reading the menu.

It costs $13.80 (excluding GST and service change) which I think is pretty alright for a restaurant with good ambience.

Pig Organs Soup

Pig Organs Soup

Ordered this Pig Organs Soup with Noodle at one of the stalls and the food was really delicious. The noodle was tender and chewy, the taste was enhanced with the well-mixed black soya sauce on it. In the Pig Organs Soup, there were Pig Livers, Pork Meat Balls and Pork Ribs. The soup was good as it was fragrance and rich in taste.

I pretty adore the environment of Malaysia Boleh as the place was decorated quite similarly to the surroundings in 80s and 90s. I also adore the utensils they have used as they are pretty uncommon now.

However, it was a pity that the serving of the Pig Organs is not sufficient for a food lover like me. The cost of the dish was about $3.50 which I think is pretty affordable to all. The stall was located right at the back of the place hence it's quite easy for people to locate it.

Crab Meat Linguine OK Jun 30, 2013

Crabmeat Linguini

Crabmeat Linguini

Tried this Crab Meat Linguine with pine nuts, tomatoes and chilli at The Marmalade Pantry In The City and it wasn't as good as I thought it would be.

The small pieces of crab meat tasted really good with the flavouring but the Linguine tasted pretty dry, perhaps due to the small serving of sauce on it. Halfway through the meal, I had to give up on eating due to the sickness I'm getting from it.

The ambience of the place was pretty good and the place was quite accessible.

However, I think that this dish was quite pricey as it costed about $24 excluding service charge and GST.

Squid Ink Spaghetti Smile Jun 30, 2013

Squid Ink Spaghetti

Squid Ink Spaghetti

Tried this Squid Ink Spaghetti at Saizeriya Italian Restaurant and the taste was pretty unique to me although the dish looks blackish and doesn't look very appealing and appetizing.

The taste of the Squid Ink was slightly salty and it tasted kind of similar to sea salt. The squid was quite chewy as it took me some time to chew and break it apart. I like the taste of this dish after trying it for the first time.

However, my teeth were stained with the black Squid Ink immediately after chewing the spaghetti. Hence, it isn't that suitable to eat it during a date.

Egg Mayo Sandwiches  Smile Jun 30, 2013

Egg Mayo Sandwiches

Egg Mayo Sandwiches

Tried these Egg Mayo Sandwiches at Canele Pattisserie Chocolaterie and they were really delicious and tasted much better than those from the bakery shops.

The outer layer of the bread was very crispy and fragrant though there was a slight smell of burnt food. The fillings which was the Egg Mayo was just sufficient, not too little. The combination of the softness of the Egg Mayo and the crispness of the bread really made my day.

These Egg Mayo Sandwiches are extremely perfect for breakfast, tea break or even supper.
