Love Letters, $18.90 (100pcs)

Love letters is one of my favourite CNY snack and I always couldn't resist munching on them! This is my first time trying Kedai Kue Kue's love letters, which are hand-made and selling at $18.90 for a tin of 100 pieces. I dislike the factory made ones, which always get ‘lao hong’ very quickly and just not as good.

I love that Kedai Kue Kue's egg rolls are light, crispy and so fragrant! smile I can say that this is the best love letters I've tried so far!

Love the swedish meatballs! Smile Feb 09, 2014

I would always take the opportunity to dine in at the cafe whenever I come to Ikea smile My favourites are the chicken wings and Swedish meatballs, and you can practically see those two on almost every table!
Swedish Meatballs

I especially love the cranberry sauce and I couldn't understand why some people actually dislike it. I guess you either like it or not.
BBQ Pork Ribs

I had today's special, the BBQ Pork Ribs, which came with a side serving of fries. I like the sweet bbq sauce but there wasn't much meat.

They were also offering the Curry chicken rice and Glutinous rice. The curry had flavour, the chicken was quite meaty and the potatoes were soft. However, the glutinous rice was so disappointing as it was so plain and bland. I guess the safest option would be the meatballs and chicken! tongue

Modern style Wanton Noodles Smile Feb 08, 2014

Being someone who loves wanton noodles, I knew I had to try this much raved about modern style of wanton mee! Their original stall is at Holland Village market and I was happy that they recently open a 2nd outlet at Bedok which was a few busstops away from my house!
Wanton Mee, $3

Wanton Mee, $3

This modern version of wanton noodles is actually created by a Chemist and what I find most interesting is that the noodles were cooked for only 20 seconds! It is then served in a ring of their special spicy red sauce. You can choose the spiciness level, which I chose the lowest one as I couldn't take spice. There is also the plain version without any chilli. I like the QQ texture of the noodles and fried wantons but their 'Cannot See Sky' charsiew was quite disappointing in terms of its taste. For all wanton mee lovers, this modern version is definitely worth checking out! ;)

Butter Logcake & Chocolate Logcake

Butter Logcake & Chocolate Logcake

I love Primadeli's waffles and this time, my mom brought their butter and chocolate logcake!

Love the choco fudge!

Love the choco fudge!

Being an ultimate chocolate lover, I very much prefer the chocolate to butter cake. The chocolate logcake is stored in the refrigerator and it was just heavenly to savour the chill creamy chocolate goodness of the cake! I practically ate the whole cake, leaving only 1/8 of it for my mom tongue She prefers the butter cake though, which was quite bland to me. I didn't expect their cakes to be nice and would most likely buy their pandan kaya(another flavour I like) cake next time!

Delicious Crayfish horfun! Smile Feb 08, 2014

Crayfish Horfun, $6

Crayfish Horfun, $6

This is one of the popular stalls at Hong Lim Food Complex and I heard that the queue starts forming once the owner opens his stall at 11am! They are so popular that it closes around 3pm! True enough, I was there close to 12pm and there were already a long queue. I waited for around 10 minutes before it got to my turn and I had their signature crayfish and prawn hor fun! The crayfish meat comes off so easily and the prawns were so fresh. I also love the slippery texture of the hor fun, which was nicely soaked up by the delicious sauce! This is one of those dish that you could never get sick of eating again and again. tongue
