Beef Ball Beehoon Soup, $3

Beef Ball Beehoon Soup, $3

I love beef noodles and have always preferred the dry version but I heard this stall is known for their beef ball noodle soup! Their beef balls are handmade, which is really rare to find people these days taking the effort to make them from scratch. Although the stall is located at quite a ulu location, it is worth the trip! Their beef balls are awesome and definitely the best in Singapore! smile
Love the chilli!

Love the chilli!

Their chilli is also good and it is just superb to dip the beef balls in! tongue

Pumpkin Rice, $1

Pumpkin Rice, $1

I have been craving for pumpkin rice for awhile already and finally had it for dinner! The normal white rice cost $0.50 while pumpkin rice is $1. It is really worth that extra 50 cents for it!!
Apple & Pear Pork Ribs Soup, $3.50

Apple & Pear Pork Ribs Soup, $3.50

This is my first time trying their apple & pear combination w pork ribs and I love it! With such simple ingredients, the robustness of the soup surpass my expectations! It is so flavourful! I also like that the apple and pear were so soft yet crunchy at the same time and the meat comes off so easily from the rib bones! smile

Best lor mee!! Smile Jan 22, 2014

Categories : Singaporean | Hawker Centre | Noodles

I initially came to Whampoa Market with the intention of eating the ban mian from a highly raved stall over here but it was close! I noticed a long queue at this Lu Mian stall and decided to give it a try.

$2.50 per bowl

$2.50 per bowl

I was so glad I did as this is by far the best bowl of lor mee I've tasted!! I still can't believe that it only cost $2.50 per bowl as they gave a lot of ingredients!

Every ingredient is so full of flavour and this is my favourite one, crispy nugget! I also love the thickness of the gravy which was perfectly soaked up by the yellow noodles. How I wish Whampoa market isn't so far from where I live! But I'm willing to travel for this!! smile

Best Popiah! Smile Dec 27, 2013

Popiah, $1.60

Popiah, $1.60

I've heard of countless good reviews of this popiah stall at the corner of Clementi and decided to try it after school! There was already a long queue and I waited close to 20 minutes for my turn. I ordered one roll and watch as the old lady makes the popiah on the spot. The ingredients are really fresh and the whole popiah is not oily at all! This is truly the best popiah out of all I've tried so far!
Long Queue

Long Queue

The queue never dies! People are willing to wait at least 15 minutes for the popiah which shows how good it is!!

One fav bun! Smile Dec 19, 2013

Liu Sa Bun, $1.50

Liu Sa Bun, $1.50

Ever since being introduced to the raisin cream cheese bun from barcook bakery, I am officially hooked onto the buns from them! Their other popular bun is the Liu Sa bun, which consist of melted custard and salted egg yolk tongue. I find most of their buns are filled generously and priced reasonably as well. Up till today, I still can't decide which is my favourite bun from the bakery!
