This is my first time trying these famous chwees kuehs from Tiong Bahru and I bought the 8pieces for $2.40! They sell a minimum of 4 pieces up to 20 pieces. The key ingredient is the chye poh, and the ones here are amazing! It is really very nice! After trying it, I don't think I am able to appreciate the ones selling elsewhere anymore. Bedok's chwee kueh are also nice and comes in second!

This is one of the popular stalls here selling fishball noodles or yong tau foo. The price for a bowl of fishball noodles range from $2 to $3 and I ordered the $2.50 bowl, which is super value for money!Look at the amount of ingredients they gave! The slices of fish cakes, fish balls, her giao and lean meat etc. Even better is knowing that all are handmade!After mixing with my meepok, which was so delicious on its own! I like the sauce and they added in a generous amount of pork lard, no wonder it is so tasty! 
This stall is one of the few left in Singapore that sells authentic old school noodles! Many people ordered their yong tau foo too, which I'll definitely try the next time

As far as I can recall, my parents have been buying the curry chicken from this stall ever since I was in my late primary school days! Over the years, the curry has been very consistent in its standard but the chicken is smaller nowadays. I find their curry spicier and more thicker than other places. My family usually buy the baguettes from Delifrance to go along with it! I really love soaking my bread in the curry (nevermind the tears) and when there's not enough, I will even dip the normal white bread at home, too shiok!

The yuotiaos I had previously attracted me back to the stall and I bought more snacks from them to try! I like hum ji peng, both sweet and salty, and the ones here are flavourful and slightly crispy! The yuotiaos are nice just that it is not consistent with the amount of oil, as at times it could be really oily and not as nice anymore.I also like butterfly buns and it belongs to the 'sweeter' range of chinese fried snacks. The ones here are crispy with the right amount of sweetness!This is my first time trying the sweet '3-in-1' yam cake which consist of a sweet redbean filling sandwiched between two layers of yam. I like the redbean filling but not the yam.

I have always been fascinated with the 'black-coloured' kind of buns/burgers and especially love it if its squid-ink flavoured too! Burger King have recently launch this new 'Charcoal Bamboo Burger' which you can choose the filling to be either the beef patty with turkey bacon or the teriyaki chicken. I chose the beef with bacon and look at the size of the patty compared to the burger! It is really whopper sized as stated in the commercial! Anyway, the burger bun tasted like the other burgers, not even a slightest tinge of bamboo or charcoal flavour. The burger itself cost $5.95 while the meal is an additional $2.
