pau Smile Jun 20, 2013

The paus here are really really tiny. They are literally consumed in a single bite, yet they are priced the same as a regular sized char siew pau. Although really expensive, the paus here are really very good. The char siew filling is really moist and saucy with a thick gooey sauce coating each piece of charred pork. Complemented by a smooth fluffy pau skin the pau is almost perfect!

charcoal bun Smile Jun 20, 2013

It was really scary at first when I saw a black coloured bun, because food is not normally black in colour! However i changed my mind after taking a bite of this pumpkin charcoal bun, the bun was so soft and fluffy it almost melted in my mouth! The pumpkin filling is good too, slightly sweet without being cloying and smooth in terms of texture. Not expensive too at only $1.40 a bun.

fried chicken Smile Jun 20, 2013

Nothing beats good old KFC when you are craving for fried chicken. The chicken here is super tasty and retains its crunch even when taken away to consume at home. The original recipe chicken is really moist on the inside and juicy while the exterior is crisp and crunchy with tons of their secret spice flavour on it. I like the spicy version too which is even more crisp and has some heat to it!

Dim sum Smile Jun 20, 2013

Din tai fung has a limited variety of dim sum type dishes however the quality of the product makes up for that. The crispy wantons were one of the best i have ever eaten, being super duper crispy and crunchy without being overly greasy. The filling was great too! Savory and moist without being dried out. Overall I really liked this side dish that we ordered to share.

macaron Smile Jun 20, 2013

The interesting thing about TWG macarons that set them apart from the rest of the normal macarons is their unique flavours. These macarons have tea inspired flavours. One of my favourite is the moroccon mint flavoured macaron which is really refreshing from the minty taste. This macaron really tastes like the tea! And it is really fun to eat the macaron and drink the same flavour of tea!
