Claypot chicken rice Smile Jul 19, 2013
Categories : Malaysian | Food Court

The Malysian Food Street at Sentosa really has lots of delicious food offerings. One of my favourite dishes found here is the Claypot Chicken Rice with Salted Fish. The rice is coated in the most delicious dark sauce mix and the grains are all very flavourful! The chicken pieces are generous, juicy and tasty. The salted fish is really sparse though, I could barely taste it. It will be perfect if there was more fish!

Char kway teow penang style Smile Jul 19, 2013

Categories : Malaysian | Food Court

I love the char kway teow here. It is it not too oily and is very flavourful. The noodles are cooked well not being too soft nor hard, and there are plentiful ingredients. Although this is more expensive than the normal hawker centre char kway teow at $5/6 a plate, the ingredients are premium too. Big prawns are used and there are even bits of Chinese sausage in the noodle dish. All these added lots more flavour to the char kway teow, making it much more special than the usual.

Fantastic pastries Smile Jul 19, 2013

I have only tried pastries like siew bao once or twice in my life when i was in Malaysia. So I was super eager to try Fung Wong's version in Singapore. The pastries here are all delicious. Each one has a lovely light and flaky crust and the siew baos have delicious spiced filings. Both chicken adn pork versions are available but the pork is more juicy and delicious. Overall super yummy!

Yummy char siew pau Smile Jul 19, 2013

Tanjong rhu paus are super duper tiny in size. They are probably about 1/3 of a regular sized pau, yet they cost almost the same price. They cost $7 for a box of 10 tiny paus. The paus have good flavour though, having nice fluffy skin that is smooth and tasty, and moist char siew filling with smokey flavour. The pau is delicious to eat when steamed fresh so it is still hot. Highly recommended to try smile

Mango pudding dessert OK Jul 19, 2013
Categories : Japanese | Bakery

Oishi has both breads and buns and other desserts such as sponge cakes and mango pudding and tiramisu. I got some mango puddings and tiramisu for dessert that day. This was my first time trying their mango pudding and must say the flavour is not bad, being quite pleasant tasting. However I feel that the dessert is too sweet and the mango sauce on top is way to cloyingly sweet.
