Thai food Smile Jun 18, 2013

The food here is really affordable and good! We had vegetarian guests with us and they were able to make certain dishes vegetarian for our friends which is an added bonus. We really enjoyed the Mango Salad which was really fresh and flavourful with a good balance of sweet sour and salty all at once. The price is also very affordable the large mango salad only costs $12 for a big portion.

dim sum Smile Jun 18, 2013

Categories : Porridge/Congee | Noodles

This is my first time trying dim sum at an imperial treasure outlet. The list of dim sum offered here during lunch time is not too extensive but covers all the basic dishes. One dish i liked was the cheong fun with prawns which had a really smooth cheong fun encasing smooth succulent juicy prawns. The sauce that was poured over the cheong fun was also very savoury and delicious.

Set Meal Smile Jun 18, 2013

Ichiban has many set meals available which are substantial and decently priced. Each set comes with many components including Miso Soup, appetiser and fruits for dessert. One of my favourite sets is the one that comes with Katsu Don and Soba Noodles. Serving two types of dishes in smaller portions means I get to try both dished instead of having to pick one. Kudos to the Soba noodles which are perfectly cooked with good bite.

Fresh Pau Smile Jun 18, 2013

Categories : Chinese | Dim Sum

Teck Kee sells traditional dim sum such as different types of pau. I normally get the da pau which comes in either pork or chicken flavour. The meat is pretty succulent and juicy and the portion is pretty substantial. The bun itself has good taste too with a nicely flavoured dough with good fluffy texture. Eaten fresh out of the steamer this is really delicious.

mudpie Smile Jun 18, 2013

Categories : Café | Ice Cream and Gelato

The mudpie here is definitely not for the calorie watcher! Its super indulgent with tons of oreos, chocolate, fudge sauce and loads of dense creamy ice cream. The mudpie has a crisp base, a thin layer of burnt caramel ice cream, followed by a layer of chocolate and cookies and cream flvoured ice cream. The whole thing is topped off with a chocolate shell with chunks of oreos embedded in it and a thick fudge sauce is poured over it! Yum!
