Best Ramen ! Smile Jul 30, 2013
Categories : Japanese | Hotel | Ramen

Got to know this ramen shop from a friend. Just exit from Exit A of Tanjong Pagar MRT Station and walk straight and you will find this shop.

They serve 3 kinds of soup base. White, Black and Red. You can even choose the taste of the soup base (Strong, Normal or Light), texture of the noodles (Hard, Normal, Soft) and amount of chicken oil added in your noodles (More, Normal or Less). I ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen ($10.80) and choose the "Normal" version of their soup base and it taste really thick and rich. I wonder how would the "Strong" version taste like. The noodles is nicely cooked, not too tough or mushy (Y). They are not stingy on the portion of the pork cha siew! Overall, the whole bowl of ramen is cooked in PERFECTION!

Their hard-boiled egg and bean sprout are FREE-FLOW ! I cannot stop eating the bean sprout. Add them in to your noodles and it will make your Ramen taste heavenly! Do try their Green Tea Cola ($3/bottle) too!

The chef and staffs are Japanese. They are all very polite and friendly (although they only speak a little English). Service is 5 star ! (Addition, they all look handsome, a bonus ! in making your meal even more enjoyable. tongue)

Bought coupons from Deal.com @ $33/pax for the Tunch buffet. The buffet start from 12pm to 4pm. They have wide varieties of warm & cold dessert and bread & sandwiches . My fav is the Yam Paste ( Ou Ni ) ! They serve sashimi too. The chef will slice them for you upon order and the portion given is very generous !

The service is fast and efficient, especially in replenishing the food and this really impressed me ! lol

Categories : Multi-Cuisine | Seafood | Buffet

Not the 1st time here at Buffet Town. It's highly recommended to make a reservations before u go and this is the reason why tongue
Queue @ 11.15am

Queue @ 11.15am

The buffet start at 1130 and this was the queue at 1115. shocked This shows how popular buffet town is. lol Left side of the queue is for people who made reservations while right is for walk-ins. They will start letting people who made reservations in at 1130 while 11.45 for walk-ins. The service is fast and efficient. The whole process is quite fast surprisingly.

We got a seat at a corner of the restaurant and because it's somewhere beside the kitchen, the surrounding there is quite warm and we request to change a seat but got rejected. >< Not a very good start of our buffet D:
Slipper Lobsters

Slipper Lobsters

This is the 1st time I ate Slipper Lobsters. It tastes a bit flour-ish and the flesh break apart quite easily >< Taste like un-fresh prawn if you know what I mean. I'm not sure if it's suppose to be like this or not, but I don't really like it. sad
Irresistible Dessert !!

Irresistible Dessert !!

Dessert! The first ( and will always be always ) food I attacked! Thy don't really have much choices for dessert compared to other buffet restaurants. All the muffins available tasted the same and and only differs in the colour of the cream only @.@ ) But their waffles and crepes will make up for it!
Waffles and Crepes

Waffles and Crepes

Their waffles and crepes is a MUST TRY! Especially the crepes. Tastes so nice! It's crispy and the sweetness is just nice. It taste great just the way it is, so you don't really have to add syrup or toppings for it.
Coffee and Tea

Coffee and Tea

They have staffs to make coffee and tea for you too! Don't really see this at other restaurants.
Beef Satay & Pork Satay

Beef Satay & Pork Satay

The Satay is a HOT item here. It will be gone before you know it and you will always see people queuing for it.
Strawberry, Vanilla, Green Tea

Strawberry, Vanilla, Green Tea

Strawberry ice-cream and green tea ice-cream is nice. Do try the green tea ice cream! I'm sure you will fall in love with it !! Vanilla ice-cream is too sweet. :x

Sms from Buffet Town

Sms from Buffet Town

Something I was very pleased and happy about their service is that they even send a sms a day after to thank us for visiting them. Isn't that sweet ~ lol

Overall experience there is good. The food varieties is a bit lesser compared to last time but the standard and quality of is still (Y) ~ Will go back and eat again for sure !! tongue

I recommend the Gyoza ( Japanese Fried Dumplings ), Oden ( Guan Dong Zhu ) and Dessert !

Waffle, Matcha & Wasabi Ice Cream

Their waffle is DELICIOUS ! crispy outside and soft inside and this is the 1st time i tried a wasabi ice cream. Taste not bad, have an mixture of sweet and salty taste.

I like their dessert A LOT ! there are a lot of choices for their dessert and they will keep change the dessert selections once the initial dessert tray is empty.
