Bakerzin Smile Jul 18, 2013

I decided to have some tea-time break and chose Bakerzin for some cake time. The pricing is quite expensive for a small portion slice about $6+. So I ordered a piece of Tiramisu cake. The tiramisu cake top was coated with a layer of chocolate powder, the cake is nice not too sweet. also got a creamy taste, cake is spongy. Overall looking forward to dine in again.

Kuay Chap - recommended! Smile Jul 18, 2013

Used to work near this area, went back to dine the kuay chap. kuay chap cooked in dark soy sauce, served with pig skin and innards, braised duck meat, beancurd, preserved salted vegetables, and braised hard-boiled eggs. It is a place suitable for people who love to go for midnight suppers! The sauces are not too salty, and yet a tasty chew. The intestines are smooth and not those too hard to bite. Overall, quite worth it to try it out if you're at that area.

I randomly went to dine at Gu Zao Ren Taiwan Seafood Porridge. I ordered the lala, fried chicken and minced meat egg. The minced meat egg is nice with lots of minced meat. The fried chicken is not too oily yet crispy quite addictive and nice to bite with. The lala sauce is quite salty but still acceptable. However, I won't be ordering this dish again as the meat is not quite a lot whereas the shells are in abundance. I will back again to try out other dishes. Overall, pricing is still acceptable.

Fern & Kiwi OK Jul 18, 2013

Fern & Kiwi is the dinner venue with my boyfriend to celebrate our anniversary, as recommended by our friends. We ordered the burger, pizza and chicken wings. The pizza crust is just right, not too thick or overcooked. The burger we ordered is the Cajun Kingfish Slider (2 pieces) and New Zealand Beef and Venison Slider (1 piece). The burger was crispy yet not too hard or dry, with thick tartar sauce. The wings comes in two forms: BBQ and fried. I personally like the fried version, it is not too oily. Overall, the food is nice but pricing is expensive.

My friend hailed this as 'the most delicious and tender soya sauce chicken' so I decided to try out. We ordered the dark sauce chicken with cucumber slices at the bottom of those chicken and the vegetables and roasted meat. I'm not sure how to describe the sauce taste, but indeed it really taste very nice and complements the chicken very well! The roasted meat might be a bit tough to bite, and the vegetables is still okay, not salty. Overall, people that like soya sauce chicken can go and try it out.
