No.1 Tiramisu in Singapore? Smile Oct 31, 2013

Categories : Italian | Bakery | Desserts and Cakes

Glad to say that I have found my No.1 Ranked Tiramisu in Singapore!
Tucked away in a corner, it is easier to find this place if you head up to B1 from the MRT. I had quite a hard time finding the place when I came down from the first level.

Quiet and comfortable with limited seating, you might find it hard to get seats if you meet the after dinner crowd. I would suggest heading over between 3pm - 5pm where they are currently having a coffee promotion where 2 cups are priced at $7 bucks.
Classic

Classic

This is probably the one which I love the most! I like how light and delicate tasting it was, with the coffee complementing and not overwhelming the entire taste of the cake!
Lychee

Lychee

Probably the sweetest one out of the lot, it was be great for sweet tooth who like a hint of fruity flavor injected into their Tiramisu. it is definitely my first time trying a Lychee Tiramisu and I find it pretty refreshing!
Green Tea

Green Tea

I had a hard time deciding between the green tea and classic flavor as my favorite! You will love this if you are a matcha fan. The green tea powder had a very slight bittersweet taste which I really like. Definitely another must try at the cafe!

There is another dark cherry flavor available which i didnt get to taste. So perhaps I should plan another trip down to try it as well as enjoy a cuppa of coffee while I am at it!

***

So there you have it! Awesome tasting tiramisu in Singapore isnt elusive anymore! Head down to Clarke Quay central to grab a piece now for SGD 6.90 smile

My weekly cravings for ba chor mee is always satisfied by the crazy yummy ones served at Fei Siong outlets. Since I work at Alexandra area, other than the one at HP building, the other one is vivo's outlet.
Half Portion Noodles with xtra serving of mushroom

Half Portion Noodles with xtra serving of mushroom

Springy noodles, savoury chilli and really fragrant vinegar in generous amount is whatalss the perfect bowl of minced pork noodles.

Add $1 more for an extra serving of mushrooms which is marinated still it is packed with juice seasoning.

Looking for ba chor mee? Look no further than Fei siong!

Romantic Little Spot Smile Oct 30, 2013

The one thing I really dig about Symmetry is the deco of the place. It is just so beautiful, with the perfect romantic ambience for you gather with your friends or get one of the window seats and enjoy a romantic meal with your partner.

Mocha

Mocha

Hot Chocolate

Hot Chocolate

Drinks there are pretty ok. I really like my hot chocolate which is perfect for the recent rainy days!
Smoked Salmon (Salad)

Smoked Salmon (Salad)

This was the dish which I paid close to $23 bucks for. It was so unsatisfying cause the smoked salmon was too salty and honestly, $23 for a plate of veggies? I was expecting more of a ”MAIN” instead of a salad!
Truffle Linguine

Truffle Linguine

The money spent on my Smoked Salmon should have been put into the truffle spaghetti which was oh so perfecto!
Smoked Salmon Sandwich with Fries

Smoked Salmon Sandwich with Fries

The Norwegian, which I was deciding on earlier. Pretty good in portions and they were definitely generous with the ingredients! Should have ordered this!

Forgot what this was, but it was one of their all day brekkie items which was pretty good too! The bacon is a little too fatty for my liking though!

Forgot the name of this dish too tongue Beef flank if I am not wrong and it came all tender juicy and bursting with flavour!

Symmetry is a place which I would recommend as a a try it at least once kind of place The truffle spaghetti and beef flank is what I recommend you to come back for, cause those are 2 dishes that popped up in my head when you mention “Symmetry”

Prices are pretty oddly priced for this place. I mean look at my Smoked Salmon Main. 23 Bucks for that? The ambience pretty much makes up for it though.

Finding parking for this location can be quite a chore, I would instead recommend you to walk over from Bugis which will take you 10 minutes

Recommended Dish(es):  Truffle Linguine

Spending per head: Approximately $32(Lunch)

My all time favourite Mee Sua Smile Oct 30, 2013
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Cantonese/Hong Kong | Coffeeshop | Chinese Soup

“Soupy Goodness” is the term for this simple bowl of rice Vermicelli at Kembangan

Unlike usually conventional Mee Sua which is served with chicken stock with an egg in it. It is herbal based and comes with either pig organs or pork slices depending on your preference.

It’s not centrally located, but you wouldn’t be able to miss it as you are driving along Changi Road cause their business is sooo good they took up 4 shop spaces!

Delicious Thai Food in Kovan Smile Oct 30, 2013

Tom Yam Clear Base

Tom Yam Thick Base

Tom Yam Thick Base

One of my favourite dishes, the Tom Yam thick base soup is a must order at this place! Less spicy than the clear base, but super rich in flavour!
Pandan Chicken

Pandan Chicken

The fragant pandan chicken is one of the popular items here in Nakhon. In set of four, I had friends who ordered servings after servings cause one was just not enough. It might look big, but once the pandan leaves are unwrapped, 3 bites is all you need to polish one of it off!
Thai Papaya Salad

Thai Papaya Salad

The papaya salad here was so so only, we found it a tad too spicy with their generous dousing of chilli padi into the mix.
Olive Fried Rice

Olive Fried Rice

I stumbled upon this dish when I was looking for something new to try and I never regretted it. Moist, fragrant and sprinkled with ingredients, I will unknowingly finish the entire plate in a blink of an eye!

***

This location is a little hard to find as it is tucked away from the busy crowded portion of Kovan Central. But the long snaking queues daily will definitely catch your eye if you drive past the area.

This entire meal came up to $24 for 3 pax and we thought that this is way more worth it than to go to an overprice cafe to pay for atmosphere and lousy food.
