Probably the best cod fish I have ever taste. Tender soft with a light curry flavored sauce that doesn’t threaten to overwhelm its the cod.

DESSERT: CHESTNUT(Cranberry, cherry, Pollen 46% chocolate, hazelnut, creme fraiche)
The white shavings you see there is ice cream which is made to look like snow! Melt in your month goodness!

Petit FoursSmall bites for you to end off the meal, the cookies were lovely!

VERDICT

A decadent lunch affair marked a great year for my work team. We had the new year meal which was pricier than usual their usual offering, you can check back on their website to see what are their offerings.

The food was perfect. It was the kind of meal which blows you away with flavours that you wouldn’t be able to get from anywhere else; as each beautiful plated dish was probably a work of art for the chefs as they beautifully balance the flavors.

Definitely a place I would recommend for those who are in the mood to indulge, anniversary dinners, birthday celebrations or even a company lunch. It is probably a little out of the way, but there is a buggy to pick you up at the taxi stand to get to the restaurant directly.

Hougang Mall's outlet is still my favourite outlet to go to with the great service provided by their servers! 

Ordered a premium set meal which came with a teriyaki chicken rice bowl + steamboat + salmon sashimi! You can also spot the 4 pcs of salmon avocado sushi which we added on. 

This is still my favourite set to order with the amount of items provided for less than 20 bucks!

Salmon avocado is my most recommended item and you got to try it out to find out why!

We also ordered a garlic rice to share cause I have always been curious about its taste. Loaded with preserved vegetables and salmon, the food is kept warm with the hot stone bowl it was kept in. Definitely a choice for me when I am looking for something healthy!

If you are looking for a quiet spot for good coffee this weekend, Smitten might be a good spot for you to drop by. With outdoor and indoor seating, I heard that they do fill up pretty fast over the weekends.
Prices are pretty similar to industry players where we (4 of us) paid SGD 5 for a 6oz cup of espresso with milk.I like that it isn't too thin. Definitely a robust cup of coffee, a whiff to the coffee will definitely bring a small to your face. Ordered their affogato and it is pretty much a sweetened up caffeine shot which I enjoyed immersely. The espress shot is super "gao" (thick in hokkien) with the vanilla ice cream offsetting this otherwise bitter shot.
Matcha Cake was a little expensive by still a treat for those who like their green tea to be a little sweet. I personally prefer the savor the natural bitter taste of Green Tea, so this cake didnt do it for me.

VERDICT
Definitely worth a return visit, the next time round I would like to pop by to try out their Sandwiches and savoury bites which doesn't exceed SGD 10. Definitely attractive in terms of pricing.

Had a lovely dinner at windowsill pies where I tasted their Atas Kong Ba Paos which I have heard people mentioning about it over and over again! The first time I head of it, I thought that it was just going to be pretty similar to the traditional soft white and black combos. But when it was served up all golden brown, I started salivating. WTH it looks sooo good!All three of them are of different flavors and they are all gloriously good. The taste is uniquely different for each but I love all of them equally much. The bun is sinfully fried, but the crispy crust is pure heaven.

Looks like windowsill pies aren't just good for pies, but also for Kong ba Paos!

Totally in my top ten favourite food places!

P.S I had to order 2 more slices of pies to end of my meal on a sweet note

The outlet at anchorpoint is a little small but always with very pleasant staff who understand that we are all pretty rushed during the lunch hour. My favourite time to pop in is a little before 12pm as that is when the crowd has yet to come in.

I love their cozy seatings which comes either in a armchair or traditional seating. You will definitely be able to find a seat that suits you.The salmon mentaiko pasta is the one I would recommended to anyone looking for a pasta choice as the creamy tomato base is just divine. The salmon is always cooked perfectly and such a beautiful sight when the dish is set in front of me.
I am not a crazy egg fan, so I could never get why a sunny side up is served with this dish.

But if you are looking for a pasta that wouldn't disappoint, this would be it!
