Fullouse Signature might sound familiar to you as they used to have one of their theme restaurant branches in Hotel Rendezvous. Back then it was already are popular spot for couples to have their photoshoots done in the beautifully designed restaurant.

They have now since re-open as Fullhouse Signature Restaurant in Clarke Quay with a even bigger place and elaborate setup for to woo customers back into their cafe.

I managed to try out a few dishes there and i have quite a few recommended items!
FRENCH ONION SOUP

FRENCH ONION SOUP

A tad on the salty side, I still find myself slurping up this soup which comes with chunks of soft boiled onions! Definitely taste better when you soak the garlic bread into the soup, which is how traditionally house the french onion soup is presented.
SGD 9
CRUNCHY CHEESE STICKS

CRUNCHY CHEESE STICKS

Fried till golden brown, with cheesy strands oozing from it, this is a starter which will definitely catch your eye as you glance through the menu. Do eat this as soon as you can before it turns soggy!
SGD 11
GOLDEN CRABMEAT BALL

GOLDEN CRABMEAT BALL

Dabbed in mayonnaise, it is definitely a joy to bite into the crunch golden balls which are packed with crab meat fillings! If you are a seafood love, then I would recommend this dish to you!
ITALIAN MEATBALL

ITALIAN MEATBALL

This is such a meatly man dish! As I am not really a fan of meatballs, I didnt fancy it much. However I can totally imagine Chris Hemsworth biting into this and throwing the plate on the floor roaring “MORE” in true Thor fashion.

Definitely a flavorsome dish which is served with 4 big fat juicy well seasoned scallops! If you are scratching your head over which pasta to order, this is definitely one of the recommended ones.
GRILLED CHICKEN CHOP W RAISIN BLACK PEPPER SAUCE

GRILLED CHICKEN CHOP W RAISIN BLACK PEPPER SAUCE

One of my favorite dishes in Fullhouse, the chicken was grilled till tender and the additional of raisins with the dish was a nice touch to the black pepper sauce. Definitely a generous dish, all of us were exclaiming about the portion size!
SGD 25
HAM AMATRICIANA

HAM AMATRICIANA

Definitely a spicy dish, but some of my friend found this too spicy to bear. I personally found it ok, but don’t be surprise if your nose runs a little ;)
SGD 20
PIRI PIRI CHICKEN

PIRI PIRI CHICKEN

With sweet and spicy sauce coated all across the chicken, it was such a flavorsome dish which all my friends were happily stealing a bite from! The meat was soft and tender, unlike other places where I am subjected to eating dry overdone chicken.
SGD 25

VERDICT

Fullhouse signature is definitely a place to head if you looking to wow your friends with the beautifully design interiors. It would be great for special occasions like birthdays, proposals or any form of celebratory events. The staff there are passionate about their work and would definitely offer a helping hand if required.

I personally feel that the food prices are reasonable given relaxing ambiance of this dining establishment, and how they try to make it a very interactive place for friends to enjoy their meal. There are definitely some hits and misses with the food, but one thing I cant deny is that they are definitely generous with their portions.

Great service, wide selection of tea, , extensive range of savoury bites, decadent desserts with a chocolate fondue as its centrepiece; the high tea session at Shangri La’s Rose Veranda is an affair not to be missed.

With 2 seatings available one weekends, we had chose to sleep in and settled for the 2nd seating at 3-6pm. Do note that even if you arrive early, you have to wait till 3pm to get settled into your seats.

The moment we were seated, we were passed leather bounded menus where we chose our tea choice for the day. Crazy hard for a tea lover like me who just want to try everything. The Japanese Geisha, Rose, Boudoir are good choices that you are go for toosmile
Laksa Goodness

Laksa Goodness

One of the key highlights in the session, was the laksa station on the buffet spread!
Pick your own ingredients drench the thick flavoursome coconut based broth all over it, one mouthful and you will be hooked! If you are a fan of Katong Laksa, you will find this to be a thicker and more coconuty version here. Definitely sinful, but oh-so-good!

The other savoury offerings range between Chinese, Indian, Japanese and Western dishes, so you will be sure to find something that you will definitely like!

Selections from the cheese platter

Selections from the cheese platter

A small selection of cheese platter is also available, and I do love the pairing of sharp red cheddar cheese with wholemeal bread. Do try it if you have the chance!

Dessert Selections

The desserts corner in comparision to the savory treats has fewer selections but they were all good. I didnt managed to try all of them as I was too full. I have a particular fondness for the raspberry tarts and vanilla creme brulee though.

Definitely a good place for high-tea, I really really love the service level provided here, where there is always someone nearby to cater to your needs. Desserts if possible, I hope it can be replenished much faster as the macarons often runs out. I didnt manage to try everything out as I was so stuffed, but so far even my dining partners are impressed by the food served.

Here’s a little savings tip for you! Place an online booking and you get 15% off the bill pricesmile

Tom Yam Clear Base

Tom Yam Thick Base

Tom Yam Thick Base

One of my favourite dishes, the Tom Yam thick base soup is a must order at this place! Less spicy than the clear base, but super rich in flavour!
Pandan Chicken

Pandan Chicken

The fragant pandan chicken is one of the popular items here in Nakhon. In set of four, I had friends who ordered servings after servings cause one was just not enough. It might look big, but once the pandan leaves are unwrapped, 3 bites is all you need to polish one of it off!
Thai Papaya Salad

Thai Papaya Salad

The papaya salad here was so so only, we found it a tad too spicy with their generous dousing of chilli padi into the mix.
Olive Fried Rice

Olive Fried Rice

I stumbled upon this dish when I was looking for something new to try and I never regretted it. Moist, fragrant and sprinkled with ingredients, I will unknowingly finish the entire plate in a blink of an eye!

***

This location is a little hard to find as it is tucked away from the busy crowded portion of Kovan Central. But the long snaking queues daily will definitely catch your eye if you drive past the area.

This entire meal came up to $24 for 3 pax and we thought that this is way more worth it than to go to an overprice cafe to pay for atmosphere and lousy food.

CHEESY MAYO FRIES

CHEESY MAYO FRIES

Nacho cheese like which is generously doused over thick cut fries! Shiok-a-nathan! Definitely a great starter to keep you wanting for more
TAIWAN MEE SUA

TAIWAN MEE SUA

We ordered the chicken and mushroom version of the popular oyster mee sua and it is still yummy nonetheless! Chunkier with additional ingredients though!
TAIWANESE COLD NOODLES

TAIWANESE COLD NOODLES

I never really like my food cold unless it is sushi/sashimi/salads or desserts? But this dish is definitely on the top of must-eats if you visit this cafe! Noodles drenched in peanut sauce and sprinkled with peanut bits and vegetable strips!
OLIVE LEAF FRIED RICE

OLIVE LEAF FRIED RICE

We were puzzled by “Olive Leaf” cause it was definitely my first time hearing it. But it is just Olive fried rice which you can definitely get better ones else where e.g. Nahkon Kitchen.

So if you are looking for a interesting Taiwan cafe with mid-range prices to hangout with your friend, this is definitely one place you would want to try out! It is also a plus plus for you if you are a Jay Chou Fan, cause his music is always playing on the background!

Matcha Chiffon Cake

Matcha Chiffon Cake

This is my absolute favorite! The taste of green tea is so strong and mixed with the fluffy light cream. IT IS TO DIE FOR! A total must try for everyone!
Japanese Cream Puff

Japanese Cream Puff

This is one of the top favourite desserts in Dulcet & Studio and it seems like there is quite a following for it. It is not hard to understand why. The crusty chewy pastry packed with creamy fluffy light cream till it is almost going to burst, every mouthful of it is a delight!

I bought some for my dad who had tried something similar in Japan, and he claim that this is exactly the same and it is really good. High praise from someone who have a picky taste buds!
