Aglio Olio OK Jun 06, 2013

Quick lunch at Robert Timms as I love the cosy, cool environment (but the one at Wheelock place is better). They serve Australian fare with unique items like Kangaroo meat but I'm not so adventurous hence I order the Prawn Aglio Olio. It's quite spicy as they add in loads of chopped chili padi and toss with some prawns and asparagus. Quite an average dish but they were very generous with their prawns! I think there are about 7 prawns in total! But for me, I would recommend trying their other dishes smile

Ramen Lovers Smile Jun 06, 2013

I love Ramen and for a long time, I thought that Ippudo had one of the better Ramen in Singapore but my friend told me about this place and I had to try it! Plus the location is easy to find. The Ramen is very very good! The pork was tender and salty. Broth was cooked with pork bones so it was super savory and very delicious. Topped off with one Onsen egg and you got a perfect bowl of ramen. It's less salty than Ippudo's too I think as I did not feel quite as thirsty after the meal. smile

Pork Belly at Antoinette Smile Jun 06, 2013

It may come as a surprise to most that I would pick to eat the savory dishes at a place like Antoinette where the sweets are more well known. I saw the Pork Belly with spinach on the menu and couldn't resist. I have to say, it was not bad! The pork belly was cooked very well and it was tender with the right amount of lean meat and fat. Drizzled with some mushroom sauce and paired with spinach, I enjoyed this meal very much! Didn't get to try their desserts but next time!

Crab in a Bar OK Jun 05, 2013

For a place where it looks like it is more for drinking, there are some interesting items on the menu. We ordered the Singapore Chilli Crab Dip with Fried Man Tou. The chilli crab dip is good - it is slightly spicy and sweet and tastes just like the sauce we have for normal chilli crab. Only thing is there isn't much crab to be had. The man tou are normal deep dried buns. Pair with some cold beer and enjoy!

Burgers Cost like King OK Jun 05, 2013
Categories : Burgers and Sandwiches | Kids-Friendly

This is not a cheap burger in case you think it's gonna be like Burger King pricing. The Omakase cheese burger meal cost over $20! And the burger is quite small size so for a guy or a super hungry girl, I don't think it is very filling. The meat is juicy and nice yet...does not live up to all the hype about the burger. There is one slice of cheese, beef patty and some lettuce.
