Korean BBQ Dinner Smile Jun 28, 2013

Usually this place is crowded when I pass by and always been wanting to try. Well, I finally have the chance to try out their food. A group of us ordered a mixture of meats for barbeque , soup, fried seafood pancake, Korean rice cake, beancurd and sushi. The barbecue meat consist of the promotion Wagyu Beef when you exceed $80 in your total items, you get to order it for $19. I really love the texture and flavour of this meat. It was marinated just right and the beef was juicy and tender. Apart from this, we ordered the combination meat platter to barbeque. I actually quite like the service. The waitress seems to be assigned to the designated table, whenever I waved, she will come over. Also, they are attentive to refill our tea glass every now and then. Side dishes were alright, a few variety with different kind of vegetables. I also love that they served us fruit at the end of it.

Been craving for mee sotong for quite sometime and i got a chance to eat it today. This stall is famous for mee sotong for breakfast and usually got to queue for it. Their serving portion is enough to fill your stomach. As for the soup, it taste delicious and they are not stingy in giving more meat. As for me, i added the potato which i love it and is simply delicious and not oily and it melt once you bite it. I will come back for this stall again. smile

Heard about this stall from my colleague that they sell traditional vegetarian meals. Decided to dropby to try it out. Indeed they do sell traditional vegetarian set meal and you could choose on which type of vegetable you want it in curry or stir-fry. Apart from this, they do sell normal vegetarian food that you could choose and serve with either beehoon or mee. Their fry item is not too oily and is crispy for the fried bean skin. curry taste is just nice. I will come back for it anytime soon.lol

Prata Wala Smile Jun 26, 2013

I always have cravings for Indian food at times. Who can withstand Prata, Naan or Tosai with delicious curry? Prata Wala happens to be the place convenient for comfort Indian Food. This is one of my hangouts place ;). Tiong Bahru‘s Prata wala happens to have some nice outdoor sitting. They have seats like that alfresco garden kind. The indoor seats are limited though but still it is all about the ambience. I ordered the two plain pratas, plain naan with spinach cottage cheese dip and curry. Prata is not too bad, crispy and delicious. The curry from prata wala is not too bad. Love the taste of it however the spinach cottage cheese dip is a little bit salty but still acceptable. The teh tarik was not alright but a little too sweet and this is the way how Indians like it.

Have been always wanted to tried at this stall whenever I past by but couldn't find a chance. Since today I reached early, I decided to go for it. Order noodles, luncheon meat, fishcake, egg and fried beancurd skin. Noodles texture is smooth and soft, sunny side up egg is pretty well done too as you could see in the photo. Luncheon meat, fishcake and fried bean skin is just nice, not too oily to eat. It is worth it for a wonderful breakfast. Will come back for their porridge soon.
