Tasty Western Food Smile Jul 23, 2013

Have given the 'Chicken Cutlet' a try that day it's pretty delicious. For a start, rather than providing the customers with packets of chilli or tomato sauce, you can simply squeeze out as much sauces as you like from the free flow sauces 'bar'. Although it's a 'bar', it's actually 2 bottles of sauces by the side of the stall. Food wise, the 'French Fries', itself are pretty crunchy and not too oily. Even though the chilli sauce are pretty normal stuff, but it still blend into the taste of the 'French Fries' nicely. Next, the chef have added a generous portion of vegetables, which includes 'Peas', 'Corns' and 'Diced Carrots'. Though it's served cold but the vegetables are nicely done and although it's merely vegetables but it's still far more better than merely a few leaves of lettuce or a portion of salad. The set meal also comes with a Bun too. The chef has also provided a tube of 'Butter' for the 'Bun'. I started off cutting a hole on one of the sides and scoop a bit of 'Butter' into the 'Bun', before cutting the whole 'Bun' into 2 and savour it. 'Bonjour'~~~ Although this is a tedious way of savouring the 'Bun' but you could really taste the sweet 'Butter'.

As for the piece of 'Chicken Cutlet', the crispy texture itself have scored lots of points already. The chef has also added a scoop of specially blended sauce over it. Best of all, the succulent piece of 'Chicken Cutlet' is fantastically delicious. The standards of the 'Chicken Cutlet' is so high that it really makes one wonder why didn't the chef open his own 'Western Food Restaurant'. shocked

An unexpected journey ...? Smile Jul 22, 2013

Found this new place at Clementi that sells relatively affordable and delicious buns. For a start all the fluffy buns come with a generous portion of fillings. On top of that, they also have...

'Golden Sands Bun'(黃金流沙包)
The sweet and salty taste of this bun is deliciously wonderful. Just be careful with this bun and don't let the 'gold' flow out of
the bun and get wasted.tongue

Appetizers buffet for FREE* Smile Jul 21, 2013

At this restaurant, you can give the Appetizers buffet a try for FREE*. It includes japanese dishes like 'Soba', 'Takoyaki', 'Chawanmushi', etc. Since it's free, the taste of most of the appetizers are pretty normal. However, there are some exceptions too. I personally find the 'Onion Steak' to be exceptionally good. The chefs have added some spicy touch to the fried crunchy onion slices. The overall taste and the texture of the onion slices are pretty good and interesting. By the way, if you really want to give the Appetizers buffet a try, each paying customer has to order a set meal.

'Eel & Clams Rice Box Set'
My favourite Japanese set Meal would be 'Eel Rice Box Set'. Therefore, I ended up placing an order for this the other day. The delicious taste that you are getting when you mix all the 3 main ingredients(Eel, clams and cucumber) together are fantastically good. The crunchy cucumber and the fresh ingredients are something that one could really look forward to.

Where did all the buns go? Smile Jul 18, 2013

Looking at the current market, if you are thinking of buying a bun, the price of a bun would range between a dollar to a few dollars. I kinda miss all the lowly priced and delicious buns. So where did all the affordable buns go? Although they don't have all the fanciful buns, but all the buns that they are selling over here are lower than a dollar. On top of that the fillings that are added into the buns are pretty generous and not forgetting delicious too. For a start, they amount of potato curry that was added into the Curry Bun are fantastically delicious and the fragrance of a freshly baked bun was pretty nice too. tongue

Half a Fish Head of Curry OK Jul 17, 2013

Tiong Bahru Market - Marina South Curry Delight - Curry Fish Head

I have went to Tiong Bahru Market for dinner the other day. I have ended up placing an order for a claypot of Curry Fishhead. Even though it's merely half a fishhead but it's still a crazy move. The crunchy vegetables are the Curry are pretty nice. The flesh of the fish head are pretty fresh and good too. However, I think that it will taste much better if they have cooked it longer, because I personally find that the curry hasn't blend into the flesh at all.
