Birthday cake from pine gardens Smile Dec 04, 2013

Categories : Bakery | Desserts and Cakes

This cake is lychee martini flavour from pine gardens. There is real lychee bits inbetween the cakes within the cream! The cream was a little gelat but for the one slice I took, it was still alright. The Martini flavour is not too overwhelming but the presence of it was there.

Personally I feel that it still loses out to fruit cakes but this as a lychee martini cake is quite a nice cake to be bought for parties and friends.

tea time banana cake OK Dec 04, 2013

The banana cake didn't felt like it was worth $2! Like I could have gotten cheaper ones elsewhere! But overall it still taste decent as a banana cake. Like it was not too moist, crumbly enough. And still delectable. The tea is nice, a little on the sweet side but its still nice as a complement to the banana cake. The staff were rather friendly although there was a long queue.

I had a green tea flavoured one and my grandma had a milk tea flavoured one. The taste of the green tea although it was not the strong bitter kind, but it was not overwhelmingly sweet as well. I felt the texture was nice,a little chewy and gave me something to hold on to. The milk tea flavour was nice as well! Chewy and the milk tea felt really fresh! As you can see my grams enjoys it as well. The staff was friendly, nice music was playing and plus river view, what more can I ask for!

I had a cha shu chicken ramen. The cha shu chicken was not too bad, but was a little salty. But the soup had no taste. the texture of the noodles were a little too hard for my liking. It is generally not a very tasty meal for its price, not worth it. The place was quiet. The service was really slow. We just wanted to order our ramen but it took us 15-20 mins just to call the waiter.

The service staff very friendly and welcoming. And I got a beef bowl student meal. Love the place with nice air con and not to many people. First time drinking sjora but it think its nice! Not too orangy and very easy on the tongue. The fries although the platter looks very unsmackering, it is actually very nice. A pity it got cold a bit too fast. The bowl is awesome as usual. But could do with more sauce. I was so sad that the chilli shaker thing is gone. Now we have to pay for these things. I love the thin slices of beef that they give, salty, but good enough to complement the rice. The texture is good in the mouth as well, not too chewy like some others but nicely dissolving.
