The Amoy Street outlet occupies a small shop with limited sitting capacity; patrons mostly drop in to buy and take away.
Must try their Tiramisu Double Layer ($10.00) probably one of the best Tiramisu in town! Must try their Pandan with Gula Melaka Cake ($4.00) and Chocolate chip cookie ($6.00 for 150g) as well.
On the whole, Matt’s Chocolate shop really lived up to our expectations as a dark chocolate fudge specialist. All the cakes contain half the sugar content of your typical chocolate cake, plus they use dark chocolate with 60% cocoa content - just some of the reasons that Matt's The Chocolate Shop has won over so many chocolate fans - including us, their newest additions to the list!

When one talks about Roti Prata, it is without a doubt that they will mention Casuarina Curry, for after all they’ve been in Singapore since 1992 and they are still going strong!
Casuarina Curry serves a wide variety of prata, curry, noodles and rice/biryani. On this most recent trip, we discovered that Casuarina Curry also does catering! One of the packages for only $15 per pax actually provides prata to be made on the spot by one of the skilled prata chefs.
Overall, Carsuarina Curry serves reasonably good roti prata and curry, prata are not oily at all which you would not feel too guilty when gobble down a few pieces more. Both the Mutton and Chicken curry are savoury. The paper prata is something you should not miss as well.

You can't go wrong with Claypot! Smile Oct 06, 2014

If you have tried the famous Katong 328 Laksa or Amy’s laksa in Bedok, the claypot Laksa here is a lot more rich and smooth with the enhancement of the heavy coconut-based gravy, pretty sinful delicacy and may not meant for those who are health conscious, but the flavourful bowl of noodle was simply tantalising, sometime we got to forgive ourselves of the high cholesterol in the bowl and just let the taste buds to enjoy a little.

You would think it’d be easy to get a bowl of their prawn mee here with their long operating hours, stretching from as early as 6.30am to 4.30am the next morning, and only closed on Mondays. However, in reality, we only managed to try their prawn mee on our fourth attempt – the shop somehow never followed its own operating hours.
This prawn noodle stall occupies the whole of the corner coffeeshop near to the previously popular Jackson kopitiam (closed down for development). Even though it’s somewhat hidden from the main street, the continuous flow of customers here is a good testimonial to their brisk business.
We ordered the $5.50 soup and dry prawn mee with pork ribs.
Overall, the taste of the prawn broth at River South (Hoe Nam) Prawn Noodles is reasonably tasty, the colour of the stock looked dark and not crimson red when compared to other prawn mee soup – which we find more appealing – yet still retaining a rich prawn flavour. Even though we’ve had more than our fair share of good prawn noodles recently, this is one prawn mee that we think is worth a try!
