Very good experience Smile Aug 28, 2013

Came to White Rabbit for my birthday celebration, and I gotta say when i step into this place, I love it already! It is so pretty. Heard that this place was actually a church previously. Look at their pretty interior.. i love the ambience too!

2 menus for food and drinks respectively.

We ordered Seared Foie Gras (SGD $29++) as our starter. Although it is quite pricey, the quality of it is worth it!! It consists of caramalised french toast with roasted apples. It taste so good together with raisin sauce and petite mesclun! And I'm a big fan of Foie Gras. This dish totally didn't disappoint me. thumbs up! lol

My main dish! this dish taste really good. It is actually pigeon and it is also my first time eating pigeon. it has a very unique taste, a bit like duck meat to me, but it is nicer.

Also, the service is very good. the staffs were friendly and attentive. they will also take time to explain the stuffs in the menu that we don't understand.

Overall, i love this place a lot. Very suitable for birthday celebration in my opinion. i enjoyed myself a lot lol

Very nice steamboat! Smile Aug 21, 2013

Was here to try this famous steamboat chain from china. i advise you guys to make reservation before coming! i have waited for an hour even when i reached at about 4.45pm.

The good thing is they have seats and table outside for you to sit down. There are drinks (sour palm &herbal tea) popcorn, and fruits for you to munch on while waiting too.

we had laska and black chicken soup base. both were good!
We kinda over-ordered for all the food (sorry no individual photos of each food as we were too hungry!) and the bill came up to $60/pax. quite expensive but worth it for the quality of food and service. Must try dish are black pork and smashed scallop! very tasty lol esp the pork!

staffs were very friendly and they even offered hair tie and zip-lock bag for you to placed your handphone inside to prevent it from becoming dirty.
Also, if you ordered hand made noodles, you will enjoy live performance of chef making those noodles right in front of you while eating.

A very pleasant experience from this restaurant. Will definitely come back again!

Nice dim sum! Smile Aug 24, 2013

Categories : Cantonese/Hong Kong | Dim Sum

One of my favourite cheap and nice dim sum places! The things that i ordered here is quite standard. they are namely Custard bun, prawn dumplings (ha gao), chee chong fan and also carrot cake with XO sauce!! (all are in the photo). I love the siew mai too however didnt manage to take a photo of it because it was serve really late. I gotta say i like all of them. None of them disappoint me in taste..

However, if i gotta name my favorite dish here, this will be it!!! carrot cake with XO sauce. the carrot cake is soft ans tasy. together with the XO sauce it is plain heaven!! A must try dish!

Also, the siew mai here is very fresh, without the "smelly pork" smell. very yummy! it is my second fav dish!.

However, the staff here can be quite fierce. dont really like their service but im still here for the good food. Also, i will advise you guys to go before evening time as some of the food might be sold out after evening.. then u will be missing out the good stuffs!

Yummy Korean BBQ! Smile Aug 22, 2013

Categories : Korean | Buffet | Korean BBQ

was here on a weekend with my friends for the buffet lunch. The place is really huge with a lot of seatings. Shouldn't be a problem to get a seat even without reservation

Side dishes. I love the kimchi, tofu and fish cake!

We ordered quite a variety of meat (although not all reflected in the photo) and they are Pork belly, Pork Collar, Marinated Chicken and Wagyu Beef Rib Eye. My favourite will be Pork belly and Marinated Chicken! highly recommended lol lol Staffs were very friendly and they helped us BBQ all the meat. Gotta say they are very attentive.

Also each of us are entitled to have a complimenary soup. I ordered Kimchi Tofu Soup ( no photos ) and it is the best kimchi soup i had in sg! if you are kimchi lover, you should order this!

Desserts that are served after you ask for bill. Have no idea what the dish is call, but it is a very refreshing kinda tea. It has a very sweet and pleasant taste. Also, heart shaped watermelon are so cute!!

Overall, i have a good experience here. Will definitely come back again smile

Spending per head: Approximately $35(Lunch)

Japanese food Smile Aug 14, 2013

Always been a fan of Japanese cuisine and decided to head to sushi tei again for the nice scallop and the other dishes.

Salmon sashimi is fresh and the thickness is just right. They are placed on top of a bowl of ice to retain its freshness and taste. I love it the most when i eat that with soya sauce and wasabi! each serving has 5 sashimi and we ordered 2 plates of it which is placed together.

Hotate Misomayo, which are also known as grilled scallop. They are my favourite in sushi teh! Love the combination taste of the scallop and the menya sauce. There is also another choice of sauce of miso and mayonnaise sauce which i have tried in the past and it is also very yummy. The presentation of the scallop on the shells makes it even more appetizing and appealing. Whenever i thought of tasty scallop, sushi tei is always the first place in my mind.
