Nice yong tau foo! Smile Sep 05, 2013

Categories : Burgers and Sandwiches

Gotta say i love the yong tau foo here at select cafeteria! they serve really unique yongtaufoo, which all fried. and it is very rarely seen in singapore.

I ordered "chu mi fen" (thick beehoon) and a generous amount of gravy was given. the gravy is savoury, very delicious when eaten together with the other food!

What's more awesome is i only pay $4 for this bowl of heaven. definitely coming back again lol

I love this restaurant! they have good service, ambience and food lol what more can one ask for!

Covelli Zuppa di Funghi ( SGD $14++)
We ordered this since it is chef pick. It is actually cream of wild mushroom with white truffle oil. A very tasty soup, the truffle oil blends in very well with the cream of mushroom. The soup is thick and rich. Totally love it.

We have Beef Carpaccio as our appetizer ( SGD $20++). The thin slices Australian beef totally melt in our mouth when we placed it in our mouth! way too delicious smile

My main dish. it look so good right!! and yes it taste even better.
Kurobuta Pork Belly (SGD $28 ++). Chocolate spiced Pork Belly with porcini mushroom tortelli in hazelnut butter cream and blackberries. An amazing dish. i love how creamy the sauce is and taste really delicious with the pork belly. the pork belly is fresh and not too hard. i like all the food here! way too good. thumbs up!

I love Saveur! Smile Aug 20, 2013

Back to Saveur for some cheap and nice food. but this time round, we went to the new branch at far east plaza. a more accessible place i would say.

Foie Gras! for only SGD$7.90++. a very affordable and nice dish. it consists of pan-seared duck liver with creamy lentils & pickled pearl onion. as a big fan of foie gras, i will definitely order this in my next visit! too yummy!

Pork belly with soft boiled egg. I love the pork belly texture! very tasty. However i still prefer duck confit which i had in my previous visit as my main dish

we had chocolate and hazelnut as our desserts. THIS IS WAY TOO GOOD! the chocolate mousse just melt in our mouth. The taste is enhanced with the additional crushed hazelnuts, broken raspberries, roasted rice pugffs, chocolate tuile & praline. highly recommended dish for desserts!

this is my second time at saveur and it did not disappoint me at all smile

Treated my friend to this place for her birthday as she loves Japanese food. Was glad that the quality of the food didn't disappoint us at all!

Shake Aburi Maki aka Seared Salmon Roll was fantastic. the quality of the salmon is very good and fresh. although it is abit ex (SGD $22++), it is quite worth it since we are both salmon lovers.

Gyuniku Fagura Sauce aka Grilled Beef with Foie Gras Sauce. OMG. Gotta say this is the best beef i have ever had in japanese restaurant. the foie gras sauce is rich and nice. The beef is very well done and very tender. taste really good together with the foie gras sauce. 5/5 for this dish!

Butter scallops was quite average.. when comes to japanese styled scallop, i will always use sushi tei's as a benchmark.

Overall, we are very satisfied with this meal and the service of the staffs. they are very friendly and attentive. This restaurant has good ambience too. I really like this place alot, will definitely visit again lol

Yummy &cheap icecream! Smile Aug 16, 2013

Categories : Café | Ice Cream and Gelato

This is my first time visiting Tom's Palette. It was recommended by my friend as she said they have very nice flavored ice cream. We went there for supper after dinner.

Spoilt for choice!

I had Granny Favorite and Parmesan Cheese Cake Crackers. Gotta say both flavours are really nice and unique. Seldom see such flavors at other ice cream stall. Granny favorite are made up of chocolate, malt and cookie dough which compliments well with one another. I really like the taste. As for Parmesan Cheese Cake Crackers, i like it because I've always been a big fan of cheesecake. And i only paid $3 for this cup of ice cream. Thumb up for the quality!
