"Black" Cha Shu Ramen (Black Tonkotsu Ramen)

I had this ramen with an extra side which only cost me $14.90++ in total. I had gyoza as my side ( had done the review on the gyoza here before). I gotta say i love the black tonkotsu ramen much more than the red one (the one that i had in the past)! the broth is so much thicker and richer and not so salty too. the char siew were good too. those that will melt in your mouth once you placed it in and they are tender too. The noodle is chewy and i love this flavor so much more. will definitely ordered this flavor again when I am back in future.

I love the food from akashi from my past visit. this explain why am i back here to try out more dishes.

the salmon sashimi is fresh, chewy and thick. taste best together with wasabi!

scallop sushi. the scallop is extremely fresh and it is also quite a huge piece of it. they are quite gerenous of it and the scallop taste good too. doesn't have the "fishy" smell

last but not least, gyoza. i dont know how they make such simple dish to taste so good! the meat inside is very well marinated and the skin is so soft.

i absolutely love the food here! none of them disappoint me. the only minus point about this place is the food is quite pricey. but for the quality of the food i think it is worth it.

Innovative Pancake Place! Smile Dec 26, 2013

I love this self-made pancake place. the concept is just very interesting to me.

their pretty menu.

we ordered 2 diy pancake flavors (total is $20 for it) and they are red velvet and banana.

scrambled eggs and sauteed mushroom as toppings for out pancakes! they taste delicious especially the sauteed mushroom. very tasty!

we also ordered bacon slices and turkey ham as additional sides.

so we started to use our red velvet pancake paste (red) and banana pancake paste ( in yellow) to start designing our pancakes! here are some of our artwork.

pancake minion! my and my friends had lots of fun playing and decorating our own pancake. Although the pancake taste were mediocre, we will definitely be back because of the innovative idea of designing our own pancake. their staffs are also very friendly and would explain to menu to us.

The total cost for this meal was $39 which i find it quite reasonable.

I'm not a big fan of egg tarts but i love the ones here!! the best egg tart that i have in singapore. The crust is crispy and it has this very nice egg taste, abit of milk taste and it is very delicious. More richer taste than the other egg tarts sold elsewhere. for 6 of them i have paid $7.50 for it which i find it quite value for money. I always come here to buy after having punggol nasi lemak (katong branch) as it is just nearby smile

I highly recommend their egg tarts!

Are you a big fan of pizza? if you are, this place is for you! was here with a bunch of my colleagues and was so amazed that there is XXL pizza over here. i have never seen such a huge pizza in my life!

We had XXL 21-inch Pizza for $50 and 2 different flavorscan be chosen and we had Prosciutto Crudo Di Parma and another flavor which is something like hawaiian.both are good and it can feed all the 6 of us! I really love the pizza here due to their nice and crispy thin crust and their cheese taste so good and different from pizza hut.

Also, another plus point about this place is it has no GST and service charge lol was so happy as this meal is so nice and cheap. will definitely come back to this place for dinner again
