Wasabi Pasta Salad Cry Oct 22, 2013
Categories : Bakery

After 7pm or 8pm (can't really recall), the breads and salads are 1-for-1 which really makes quite a good deal!

Anyway, I was feeling healthy but the only salad left was this Pasta Salad, which was only around $2/3 after the discount. Upon my first bite, I was a little taken aback because the wasabi mayonnaise was pretty strong/pungent. The only saving grace was that the penne pasta was pretty good - chewy and al dente. As expected, I couldn't finish the whole thing. Don't think I will buy this salad again.

Kouign amann OK Dec 09, 2014
Categories : Bakery

Am a fan of the kouign amann since the bakery arrived on our shores. Decided to try the new coconut gula melaka kouign amann but was a tad disappointed because it tasted so much like the original one. Should add more gula melaka taste to it! Hot chocolate was well done though

Average food OK Dec 09, 2014

Pork floss danbing (egg roll) was served cold and uncrispy. Totally worlds apart from those i had in taiwan. The dough fritter was cold and not crispy too. Meesua was okay and not worth coming back for. Only the soya bean milk was acceptable. Don't think i will be back again

sugar free guilt-less ice cream OK Oct 22, 2013
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Ice Cream and Gelato

The ice cream here is unique because they claim that it is sugar-free and even suitable for diabetics. It must really be a dream come true (for us girls especially) to enjoy our favourite dessert (ICECREAM!!!) without the accompanying guilt.

Being special and healthy comes with a price though, a pint of icecream here (for the normal flavours) costs around $12 and the premium ones are a few dollars more expensive. This is most probably above market price (places like island creamery sells 1 pint for merely $8 the last i went).

Nevertheless, I love how they taste as good as the real deal such that it's hard to believe these ice creams are 'healthy'. The hazelnut one is a premium flavour and the salted horlicks is the normal range. Salted horlicks was a teeny weeny tad too salty for my liking. The hazelnut was perfect although my favourite hazelnut icecream is still the one at Venezia!!!

This stall is owned by a pair of extremely friendly indian brothers who can always be seen smiling to customers.

They are very well-known for their teh tarik (which is really thick and robust) and teh halia (just the right not of spiciness)!

I ordered an egg roti prata for $1.20. What i like about it is that it is not very oily and has a nice crisp texture to it. It was also served fresh and hot!! The accompanying curry was nothing worth shouting out loud though.
