Dim sum Smile Feb 14, 2014

Categories : Cantonese/Hong Kong | Restaurant | Dim Sum | Noodles | Kids-Friendly

This was my second time at tim ho wan. It serves affordable dim sum and the specialities are the BBq Pork Bun, steamed malay cake, vermicili roll with pig liver.
As i went there early (around 6pm), there was not really any queue, hence i waited less than 5 minutes for a table for two lol

I ordered the bbq pork bun for $4.50. The bun is really crispy and have a 'bolo' skin. I extremely love the crispy crust! The inside has the bbq pork filling which i find it quite sweet, but overall, its still the best bbq pork bun! lol

This is the vermicili roll with shrimp @ $5.50. This roll is smooth and soft with fresh prawns and some vegetables.

Rice with beef and fried egg @ $6. The beef was quite disappointing as i couldnt really taste the beef meat. However, when eaten together with the rice, egg and beef, it tasted not bad.

Steamed malay cake @ $3.80. This cake is really soft and fluffy with a slight sweetness in it. However, it was quite dry at the inside ccompared to the one i tried before at plaza sing :/

Overall, if you were to dine at Tim Ho Wan, be sure to order the BBq Pork buns and Steamed malay cake! lol

Recommended Dish(es):  BBQ pork bun, steamed malay cake

Spending per head: Approximately $10(Dinner)

mocha soyamilk Smile Feb 14, 2014

Mr bean has always been one of my favourite places for soyamilk and pancakes! I love their mocha soyamilk as it has the taste of both soya milk and coffee together smile I ordered a mocha soya milk ($3.20) , small cup size. I chose a 25% sugar level as the previous time when i

ordered 50%, i find it way too sweet :/ Therefore 25% sugar level is just right for me lol

Mocha soya milk is a nice and refreshing drink for coffee and soyamilk lovers, however, it will be even better if there were more coffee taste in the drink lol

We ordered sashimi, sushi, eel don and many more to share.

I love their salmon sashimi as they were extremely fresh and soft! lol

The beef sushi was not as nice as i had expected though ): Perhaps should stick to their salmon sashimi! lol

Went to Universal Studios Singapore with my friends during the holidays lol Then we decided to head over to Astons for dinner. I ordered a grilled fish with herbs with pasta salad and baked beans @ $6.90. Astons is considered quite cheap as all are nett prices, no gst or service charge lol

The fish is soft and infused with the herbs, the pasta salad tasted great too! lol

My friends ordered chicken chop and chicken cutlet respectively. The food looks good too! Perhaps i will try those one day lol

Kuishin Bo is a japanese buffet restaurant which sells a variety of seafood, sushi, meat and dessertslol

I love their sashimi, prawns as those were really fresh!

The teppanyaki beef cubes from the teppanyaki station were extremely flavourful and delicious! Really soft and well marinated, highly recommended for beef lovers!

For the dessert, the chocolate eclairs were nice too lol
