Shiok maki Smile Feb 10, 2014

Categories : Japanese | Sushi/Sashimi

I had heard many great reviews about this shop and had seen many people posting pictures online about the ever famous Shiok Maki. Therefore i decided to try it with my friends one day.
The Shiok Maki @ $16.90 is a maki made up of avocado, unagi, salmon, topped with cheesy sauce and mayonise, with generous topping of tobiko. There are a few slices of ginger too.
I have to admit, the shiok maki is really delicious, just like heaven in your mouth. As i shared the plate with my friends, two pieces wasnt enough.

Will be back to try out the shiok maki again! lol

Morganfield is famous for its sticky bones. Besides ordering their specialty, i decided to try out one of their side dishes: the deep fried pork meatballs wrapped with bacon & served with Dijon mustard.
As the name suggest, the dish is fried pork meatballs wrapped with bacon. it is meatball with bacon around it. Nothing special though. The meatball was quite nice, though i feel was quite salty. The dijion mustard tasted abit weird in my own opinion :/

Spicy chicken wings Smile Feb 10, 2014   (Related Review)

Decided to order their side dish : spicy chicken wings. These deep fried chicken wings are tossed with the home made Habanero Hot Sauce and served with crudités and sour cream.

The chicken wings are well marinated and extremely flavourful, making you crave for more. It is served with sour cream too, however, i feel that eating the chicken wing by itself is really nice and the sour cream is quite unnecessary though.

White tonkotsu Ramen OK Feb 10, 2014

Categories : Japanese | Ramen

This was my first time dining in this new ramen restaurant. This restaurant offers noodles in a variety of different textures and a selection of soup bases which comes in comes in white, red and black versions. Basically, the white is the original broth, the red is spicy and the black is garlic and spicy.

As this was my first time trying out the ramen, i decided to go with their signature dish: White tonkotsu Ramen which is made of the white broth, pork belly, egg and some vegetables. The noodles are really unique and the broth tasted nice too! This dish cost $16.90.

My friends tried the red and black broth ramen. The red broth ramen was quite oily, while the black one was filled with garlic flavour.

I love belgian waffles espcecially topped with chocolate sauce and ice cream! Decided to order a Smores @ $6.90 which is made of belgian waffle, melted hazelnut chocolate spread, topped with chocolate gelato and gramham crackers. The waffle is extremely crispy and hot, when eaten with the chocolate ice cream, it is simply delicious! My friends and i finished up this dessert in less than 5 min! lol
