The Rojak at Toa Payoh Hub B1 Foodcourt is really delicious. The first time I went there, I have to queue up for more than half an hour. The queue is always very long there and it’s definitely worth the wait. As I love you tiao, I request for a all you tiao rojak. The you tiao is quite crispy and they are very generous with the peanuts. But for those who does not like sweet stuff, the sauce might be a tad too sweet. Neverthless, it is still worth queuing up.
What I liked: The Norweigian Seafood Baked Rice I tried at Kim Gary HongKong Restaurant and the rest of the seafood were really fresh and juicy. I requested for double cheesy and I wasn't disappointed as the baked rice was baked to perfection with double cheesy goodness! The only thing i dislike about this dish is the baby octopus added into the baked rice.
Oriental Kitchen Favourites has one of the best Chinese nasi lemak stall around. Their nasi lemak is still good and tasty even after being packed for three hours. Their nasi lemak rice is really fragrant and their crispy chicken wings are best to go along with their chilli sauce. The nasi lemak in Oriental Kitchen Favourites is simply delicious and irresistible, in my opinion.
The nasi lemak rice at Punggol Nasi Lemak is flavourful and cooked just right, the chilli sauce was just right and the ikan bilis was very nice and crispy. Some of the die die must try dishes include chicken wings/drum stick ; otah ; egg; ikan billis ; other optional sides but also a must try - mini ngor hiangs, fried wantons, fish cakes, curry vegetable, egg plant, long beans.
This is one of my favourite stall at the food center in my neighborhood. They have been around for close to 15 years or so. They are open from noon to about 11.30pm. They have wanton noodles, chicken feet noodles as well as shrimp dumpling noodles. What I like best is of course their star dish- Soy Sauce Chicken Noodles (yau kai mee) . It has been voted one of the best soy sauce chicken noodles on Hungry go where. You can say that it is my pick me up food!
