My Boyfriend and I went for dinner at about 6pm and the store was still kinda empty but people started flooding in and the store was packed and some were starting to Q.

Though this shop specializes in 鱼头炉, we decided to give it a miss as we were afraid we couldn't finish. We also some zhi char style food. We order sambal fried rice , hor fun , 咸蛋排骨 and thai style chicken.

The sambal fried rice was nice and i'm kinda particular about the “火"in the fried rice. This taste really bring out the aroma of the fried rice and the fried rice here is relatively well done in terms of the 火 taste . However, i think that the sambal fried rice is not spicy enough! A little bit more of the sambal chilli will make the fried rice perfect.

As for the hor fun , i personally do not really enjoy eating it as i feel that they added too much 黑酱油 to it. However, my bf enjoys eating it. I guess it's not that bad afterall and it may just be that it is not to my liking.

咸蛋排骨 was delicious but the sauce is not evenly distributed as i ate a whole big piece which is without the sauce. It would be great if they can be more generous with the sauce and ensure that every piece of the pork is coasted with the sauce. Nevertheless , it is still yummy!

Thai Style chicken is really a normal dish and the taste is really like the typical kind of thai style dish from other places. Hence, if you are thinking hard of what you want to order and there is too many on your to try list, maybe you can give this dish a miss.

Me and my auntie went for a quick dinner and we order the set meal. The set meal consist of a bowl of tom yum flavor noodles and a drink and it only cost $8.90 per set.

What's good about this set meal is that you can actually choose the combination of the noodle and the ingredient that you want.
3 types of noodles to choose from : Nissin noodles, wanton noodles, Tang hoon
4 Ingredient choices: Chicken chop, Luncheon meat, Ham & Sausage, Seafood.

To complete the meal , you also get to choose between ice lemon tea, honey lemon or iced lime tea cooler. How great is that!
I choose wanton noodle with seafood and a cuppa ice lemon while mine aunt chose wanton noodle, chicken chop and ice lemon tea.
The service was fast and serving was huge and we couldn't finish it. Both the taste of the combination is nice!!

Do give it a try if u happen to drop by IMM during weekdays! ( Not valid on weekends)

Me and my friend went to cafe cartel for dinner last night and the shop was quite empty. I ordered the St Louis Pork Ribs with honey glaze sauce and my friend ordered the Hawaiian Pork chops and we top up the meal to a complete set( $3.90) and it comes with a bowl of soup, Garlic bread and a iced peach tea.

The soup tasted alright but we don't quite like the bread in the soup But the garlic bread was nice!
Next came our main dish..

Overall the taste was ok but the serving was quite big, I even ordered the regular size Pork ribs $15.60 ( you can opt for the small @ $11.20). However the coleslaw was not really fresh. As for the Hawaiian Pork ribs ( $ 18.50) , the meat was a little hard but overall is still alright.

After the meal, we decided to have some cakes!
We ordered a choco banana cake and a tiramisu and it comes with a free drinks.

The cake was really yummy! They also had a promotion where the cakes are at 50% off after 9 pm! We were kinda early this time round but i will definitely come back for cakes as it's also a good place to catch up with friends!

In addition, they really have alot of cake discounts such as student pass, citibank credit card, passion card and many more!
We used passion card and got a 15% off the bill and it final bill was about $56 for 2 pax

Fishball noodle set  OK Sep 16, 2013
Categories : Singaporean | Chinese | Noodles

This stall has several outlets around the island and is always a choice when it comes to a quick meal. I had a quick late dinner and ordered a fishball noodle set( ~ $4) and the set consist a cup of coffee and a bowl of fishball noodle. The fishball noodle serving not not really huge and the fishball was not really fresh. Comparing the standard of the fishball noodles to the other outlets , this may need some improvement to the quality of the food .

Fast food?? Not really fast  OK Sep 13, 2013
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : American | Fast Food | Halal

I accompanied my bf for a late dinner yesterday night and we decided to go to LJS thinking that it's fast food and my bf is starving. However, fast food is not fast at all. There is only one counter that is open and we Q for a long time. When we reach the Q was about 2 people in front of us and by the time we finish buying the Q is already super long and there were about 9 people Q-ing.
Finally we got our food and the taste is just like the other branches, nothing fantastic to talk about. My bf ordered the 3 piece chicken meal while i had a chocolate cream pie. His chicken tasted the usual and mine was a little too soft and not really to my liking ( not too sure if it's supposed to be that soft or the fridge is not working well). Maybe i will try out the choco cream pie at some other outlets next time.
