Autumn Season Ramen With Egg

Autumn Season Ramen With Egg

Ramen Keisuke Tonkotsu King Four Seasons is a very interesting Ramen place. When you enter the restaurant, there are hard boil eggs at each of the tables, which you can help yourself to on the house. To order your ramen, you will first choose from 4 different seasons, or the King ramen, each representative of a different soup base. I chose the Autumn season soup base, which is a minced pork based soup, while my friend ordered Summer season soup base. According to the waiter, the King ramen is the bestseller, followed by the Summer, and Autumn. The second step, is then to choose if you want the basic ingredients, or with the egg. Both my friend and I picked the latter. The third step is then to decide how you want your ramen to be, i.e. how strong the soup is,how much oil you would like (e.g. less, normal, more), and the texture of your noodles (e.g. crunchy, normal, soft). Last but not least, you can tick of what you would like to not have in your ramen. For us, we both didn't want spring onions. I found the whole ordering process clear and fun. This way we got exactly what we want!

The ramen tasted great and is one of best I have had, though a tad bit oily despite requesting for less oil. I cant imagine what would happen if I had opted for more oil. shocked

Heard about this authentic Italian restaurant and headed down to try. Restaurant wasn't crowded when we reached, could smell the fragrant pizzas from outside the place. Was served with some bread after we ordered, the bread was very soft and goes very well with the olive oil and balsamic vinegar. The Prosciutto & Mozzarella di Bufala (parma ham and buffalo cheese) tastes great, the cheese doesn't have the very strong dairy taste, and the parma ham was fresh and delicious. We also had the Prosciutto e Funghi pizza, it was wood fired and the crust was very crispy. I like the mushrooms on the pizza, could taste the juice even though it was wood fired. Great food!

Fika Swedish Cafe Smile Sep 14, 2013

Had a big group dinner and decided on Fika Swedish Cafe as it's Halal. I had the Aglio Olio and topped it up with their Swedish Homemade Meatballs. The pasta was very fragrant and I like the very garlicky and spicy taste. The meatballs are huge, much larger than those at Ikea. It tastes similar to the Ikea meatballs, but meatier. The pasta is a little dry, I felt that there wasn't enough olive oil added. I tried my friend's grilled crayfish pasta, it's yummy! The sauce went very well with the pasta. However, there wasn't much crayfish meat. If you're looking for somewhere different with Swedish food (other than Ikea), this is the restaurant to go!

Finally visited NamNam after all the hype about this new Viet restaurant. Tried pho at other Viet restaurants before but didn't really like the beef inside so decided to try the chicken pho. The pho tasted like those in other restaurants, nothing extraordinary but the chicken was soft and tender. Price is cheaper than other Viet restaurants, hence more worth it to eat it here. Tried the grilled chicken banh mi too, it was great! The chicken pate made the whole sandwich especially delicious. Recommend that as a must try! Would definitely return to try the other sandwiches! lol

Do visit the restaurant at slightly off dining hours if possible, the place can get very crowded.

Always had the mushroom soup at Soup Spoon, decided to give the simon and garfunkel soup a try today for lunch

. It was really good! There was loads of chunks of meat and mushrooms in it, was really filling for me. Friend had the beef goulash, it was not bad either! The bread doesn't go as well with both soups compared to mushroom soup though. We ordered the set meal to go along, I had the caesar chicken with mushrooms wrap. Delicious too! Just that I don't really like the salad that comes along with it.smile
