One of my favourite places for pasta, always crowded during lunch. The set lunch is cheap and very value for money. I like the mushroom soup, not too creamy and the mushroom bits are yummy. The garlic bread is also toasted right, goes well with the soup. Ordered java curry chicken pasta, sounds very unique, and has a very special pleasant taste. Could taste a bit of curry but it's not spicy, very delicious. Tried my friend's salmon alfredo too, the salmon is very soft and the sauce is very tasty too (not too diluted nor creamy). Would definitely recommend the pasta here!

Went to The Royal Mail for a birthday celebration. We ordered the Blue Swimmer Crab & Avocado for starters. It came in quite a small serving, but was really yummy! The use of ingredients was good, I like the mixture of the crab meat with the roe, which burst in the mouth. Could taste that the crab was very fresh. I ordered a Roast Prime Rib Classic Cut medium rare, it was cooked to a great perfection. The steak was soft and tender, and I like the sauce on the steak. There were some side dishes which came with the steak, I like the mashed potato which has a unique sauce and goes pretty well with it. Will really recommend the steak here!c

For the price we paid, it was really worth it as the service was top notch, ambience was perfect, and the steaks ain't really expensive for the quality.

Went to Sofra to celebrate a friend's birthday. The place was very empty when we reached, only one other table was occupied. There were some very value for money lunch sets (price range from 7.90-14.90 nett). I had the Doner Kebap Rice with chicken, there was a very generous amount of meat. The rice was mixed with short strands of beehoon, giving the rice a very fragrant taste and smell. It tasted a little like coconut rice, very yummy. There was some veggies at the side comprising of cut tomatoes, cucumbers, green and red pepper. The mix was very good, with the juicy tomatoes and cucumbers complementing the slightly spicy and drier green and red pepper. The kebap chicken was very delicious! It's tender and not hard like other kebaps, and cooked to perfection! Best kebap I've eaten. My friend had the Doner Kebap Rice with beef and lamb, the mix of the two meats gave a very strong taste and smell. For diners who don't like the strong smell of lamb, I would suggest not going for this option. The chicken is a definitely must try for kebap lovers!

Had Max Brenner after dinner, it's one of my favourite chill out place. Ambience is good and they serve one of my favourite drinks, the Eighties milkshake. The use of metal straw makes the chocolate drink ice cold, and I really like that. I love the vanilla ice cream on top of the drink, it doesn't melt into the drink but gives an extra vanilla-milky taste. I also like the Suckao drink, where you can mix your own milk and chocolate bits in. The milk tastes really fresh and good (milk is refillable), and the chocolate bits are of good quality. A must go if you're a fan of chocolate drinks!

Headed to Modesto's for dinner, restaurant was relatively empty when we reached about 6.30pm. Ordered the Burratina e prosciutto crudo as starters to share. The thin parma ham slices went very well with the burrata cheese and cherry tomatoes. There was a mixture of salty, slightly sour and sweet taste with all the ingredients, very yummy! The rockets usually have a very strong taste, but it tasted very well with the others, would definitely recommend this dish! We then shared a Capricciosa pizza which was wood fired. I especially like wood fired pizzas as they taste very different. The pizza had a very crunchy crust, much to our delight. The ham tasted juicy, and the there was a good blend with the artichokes and mushrooms. I don't like pizzas with too much tomato sauce, and Modesto's did it just right! Like the food here very much!
