Thai food at Cafe Pal Smile Sep 05, 2013

The interior deco of the place was relaxing and unique. Had grilled wings for starters, it was yummy. We ordered green curry chicken, tom yum soup, chicken with basil rice, phad thai, red ruby and mango sticky rice. I like the taste of the green curry chicken, the side crackers served was superb. Tom yum soup had a pleasantly unique taste, chicken with basil rice was spicy much to our liking. Will recommend phad thai, the noodles were soft and the mixture of taste from the side ingredients were great! Desserts were good too, overall a great dining experience!mad

Famous fish soup at Bugis OK Sep 05, 2013

Categories : Live Sports Broadcast | Steamboat/Hot Pot

Went there for lunch, there was a long queue. Place was air-conditioned, much to our joy as it was sweltering hot outside. Food came shortly after we ordered. There's a set lunch comprising of their specialty curry fish head and a drink. Quite little fish and much of the bowl was filled with veggies and brinjal. If more than one pax is having the curry fish head, would suggesting ordering the to-share portion instead. The fish soup beehoon was great, with much more fish compared to the curry fish. Prefer the fried fish to the sliced fish. Food is great but if u're looking for a place with good service, this is not the place to go.

Paris Baguette Smile Sep 05, 2013

Headed over to Paris Baguette for some after dinner sweets, the seats were very comfortable. Ordered the famous Korean dessert patbingsu, and had a camembert cheese cake and a royal mango pudding to go along. A sweet dessert lover, patbingsu tastes as good as it looks. The camembert cheese cake looks ordinary, but it gave us a pleasant surprise. For those looking for a different tasting cheese cake, the camembert cheese cake is one to try! We saw many buying the royal mango pudding and decided to give the popular dessert a try, but it was ordinary.

After waiting for about 20mins, we finally got a seat in the restaurant. The ambience is good for dining, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Decided to go ahead with the salmon and beef maki, which was yummy. My friend ordered the salmon terriyaki while I had the beef sukiyaki. Salmon was tasty but the side spaghetti was ordinary. The beef sukiyaki was one of the best we had, and we like that the restaurant uses half boiled eggs instead of the raw eggs at other jap restaurants. Overall a great dining experience, although a little pricey. Would give the restaurant 8 out of 10 openrice bowls!

Ice Chocolate FLOAT

Ice Chocolate FLOAT

Chanced upon this coffee joint while looking for a place to chill on a lazy Saturday afternoon. In a shared space with Subway, the cafe is a hotspot for students studying. The ice chocolate though rather pricey ($7), is generous in portion, topped with a gianormous scoop of chocolate ice cream. The ice chocolate is milky at the top, and chocolatey at the bottom. With a good stir, and the slighty melted ice cream, the ice chocolate is smooth and velvety. smile
