best frozen yogurt Smile Oct 30, 2013
i love frozen yogurt and there are many different brands here that are not bad but in my opinion, red mango is by far the best. while it does not offer many flavors, their original truly tastes like natural yogurt, and is very rich in flavor. the texture is extremely smooth, and the servings are very generous compared to most other brands. I personally find that the original yogurt topped with fresh strawberries is a divine combination.

Good sub at Quiznos Smile Oct 30, 2013

Categories : American | Fast Food | Burgers and Sandwiches

Tried Classic Italian at Quiznos, it tastes great! I like the rosemary parmesan bread, smells fragrant and tastes very delicious. It goes well with the ham and sauce that comes along with the sub. The ham tastes fresh, there's no stale smell or taste at all. The lettuce and tomatoes are very fresh and juicy too. Another of my favourite sub at Quiznos is the Zesty Grilled Steak. The beef is very soft, tender and juicy, and the sweet sauce that comes with it complements the beef very well. There's cheese added to the zesty sub, making it even yummier with melted cheese on the beef. I had the broccoli cheese soup too, tastes awesome. The amount of cheese added to the soup is just the right portion, it didn't cover the broccoli taste. Will try the other subs here!

Steamboat at JPot OK Oct 30, 2013
Categories : Steamboat/Hot Pot

Heard of the nice steamboat at JPot, decided to head down for dinner. JPot has quite a good variety of steamboat soup base and food items to choose from. I had the JPot superior soup, it tastes like chicken broth, quite fragrant though a little bland. For diners who prefer stronger tasting soup base, I would suggest bak kut teh, herbal or tomyum soup base. We ordered quite a number of food items, the most yummy would be the beef short rib. It's like shabu shabu kind of thinly sliced beef, very tender and doesn't take long to cook. The beef also added taste to the soup, making it even more delicious. The chicken was not bad too, quite soft and tender. We had the kurobuta pork with asparagus as well, but I feel that the pork taste was quite strong even though I cooked the pork for quite long. Didn't really like it. Overall was an okay dining experience!

Healthier choice to ice cream Smile Oct 29, 2013

Natural

Natural

The natural flavour at Yami yoghurt is one of my favourite frozen yogurts in Singapore. As it is the original yogurt flavour, it does not taste artificial. Also, the texture of the frozen yogurt is relatively smooth and soft, at least for the one I tasted at Changi City Point, though some of their other outlets lean a bit on the icy side. It also comes in peach and a couple of other fruity flavors if you would like some flavor to mask the pure yogurt taste, and one may add fruit or nuts toppings to make it more flavorful! The only grim I have about yami yogurt is that their portions are rather small.

Best takopachi balls in Ion Smile Oct 28, 2013
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Japanese

Tried takopachi balls at a few places in Singapore, and this has to be one of the best! It matches the authentic takopachi balls which I had in Japan. The octopus in this takopachi is a bigger piece compared to what the competitors offer. There's these crunchy bits in the takopachi balls which many other takopachi stalls do not have. It gives the balls a better taste and makes it more aromatic. I had the original sauce, and it complements the balls very well, making it even yummier. Given the generous amount of ingredients in the balls, the cost is justifiable too. Must try for all takopachi ball lovers! lol
