Good prawn mee! Smile Oct 06, 2013

Decided to have lunch at Blanco Court Prawn Mee, it's always crowded during lunch time. Ordered the prawn mee with soup and shared some ngoh hiang. The prawn mee was awesome! Very delicious and tasty. The prawns taste very fresh! My friend had the pork ribs with noodles, very yummy too. The pork ribs are soft to the bite. The ngoh hiang is good too, fried just nice. Especially like the tofu and the fish fillet.

Only down side about this place is the lack of drinks options. There's only lime juice and barley to choose from. Would recommend this place to prawn mee lovers! madlol

Korean food! OK Oct 06, 2013

Categories : Korean | Korean BBQ

Headed to Nolboo Hangari Galbi for dinner. The restaurant was understaffed, there's only one waitress serving food and tending to customers. Waited a little long for the food. Ordered the Kimchi stew, it was quite delicious. Spicy but might be a little salty for those who prefer their food to be blender. The pork belly was quite a disappointment though. It was still quite frozen when we were bbq-ing it. The side dishes were good, I like the kimchi. All in all, it was a very average dinner. sad

Authentic Korean food Smile Sep 24, 2013

Heard about an authentic Korean restaurant in Singapore from my Korean friend and decided to give it a try. The restaurant is one of the bigger and better decorated Korean restaurants I've went to. Staff was very friendly, greeted us and served us with a bottle of ice cold water straight after we sat down. I like their ordering system, there's a call bell at the side of the table, you can just press it and the staff will attend to the table.

Ordered a seafood pancake and a sundubu (tofu) soup, and they came with 10 other small side dishes (which are free). The seafood pancake wasn't oily and it was fried well. Very delicious and goes well with the salty sauce that came with it. The sundubu soup is one of the best renditions in town, not diluted like those in other Korean restaurants. It has the signature spicy taste, very yummy. All the side dishes were quite nice too, I especially liked the kimchi and the beansprouts. Price range is about the same as other Korean restaurants in town, very worth it. Enjoyed dinner! smile lol

Table manners Smile Sep 22, 2013

Place wasn't too crowded on a weekend evening. Ordered the mushroom fritters for starters, it's not bad. Doesn't have the oily taste although it's fried, but the mushrooms are not juicy enough. Had the Arcadian chicken, the chicken leg is soft and tender, goes well with the sauce that has a little black peppery taste. The broccoli served as a side is cooked with garlic, very fragrant and tasty. I preferred my friend's truffle fries to the potato wedges, the wedges taste normal. I don't recommend the angus steak, it's very ordinary and there's quite a fair bit of fats. The TM creme caramel is not bad, pudding is soft and tasty and the salted caramel sauce is a good match for it.

Staff was very proactive and friendly, overall enjoyed dinner here! lol

Great pasta! Smile Sep 22, 2013

One of my favourite places for pasta, always crowded during lunch. The set lunch is cheap and very value for money. I like the mushroom soup, not too creamy and the mushroom bits are yummy. The garlic bread is also toasted right, goes well with the soup. Ordered java curry chicken pasta, sounds very unique, and has a very special pleasant taste. Could taste a bit of curry but it's not spicy, very delicious. Tried my friend's salmon alfredo too, the salmon is very soft and the sauce is very tasty too (not too diluted nor creamy). Would definitely recommend the pasta here!
