Mexican Beef Wrap

Mexican Beef Wrap

I love the wraps and Salads & Wraps, particularly the Mexican Beef Wrap, which is tasty, cheesy, with a tad bit of spice to it.
I also like this place as they are very flexible when it comes to what you want in your wrap. If you dont want anything, you can simply request to substitute with another ingredient. The pumpkin wrap is very delicious too. The only drawback is that there is no sitting area.

Guo Tie & Ban Mian Smile Oct 27, 2013

Guo Tie

Guo Tie

The handmade noodles, i.e. ban mian at Qiu Rong Hand made Noodles, are fantastic. The soup is savory with generous share of ingredients, and the noodles has great texture. However, what I like even more than the ban mian from this stall, is their guo tie, which is fried chinese dumplings stuffed with pork and chives fillings. While one might find the skin slightly thick in the beginning, its crispy texture, makes the dumpling taste great with the vinegar dip.

Green Bean Soup, Iced Gingko Nut with Lotus Seed

Green Bean Soup, Iced Gingko Nut with Lotus Seed

I just love the chinese desserts at Teck Kee Hot & Cold Dessert. My favorite is the Iced Gingko Nut with Lotus Seed. The soup is light and flavourful, and it comes with a very generous serving of gingko nuts and lotus seeds. The combination of theses with the shaved ice on top makes the dessert, absolutely refreshing on a hot and sunny day. The green bean soup is also not bad. It is slightly different from the usual green bean soup with a tad bit of coconut milk in it. The Dao Suan from this stall is my dad's favourite. Unlike most dao suan's this one has lots of beans and little starch.

Smoke Salmon with Poached Eggs Salad

The salads at Cedele are wonderful. They do not just taste delicious, the portions served are huge, such that one can get filled on a low-carbohydrate healthy salad! Also, unlike most salads, Cedele's salads contains a wide variety of vegetable, and is not just limited to lettuce and tomatoes. My friend I and shared two salads. The Grilled Chicken Breast salad, was wonderful. The chicken breast was cooked to perfection- tasty, slighty charred and not too dry. The smoked salmon salad, had a slightly more savoury taste to it, and the runny yolk from the poached egg, blended well with the salad dressing, bringing out a delightful mix of flavours!

Dessert at Coffee Club Smile Oct 14, 2013

Categories : American | Café

Went to Coffee Club for some after dinner dessert. Ordered a strawberry shortcake and muddy mud pie to share. The strawberry shortcake tastes very good! The cake was spongy soft, and it didn't taste too creamy. The strawberries were sweet and complemented the soft cake well! Muddy mud pie was great too! I like the combination of coffee and chocolate ice cream, a little bitter taste amongst the sweetness. I also had the ice chocolate, which was just ordinary. Although it tasted sweet, there wasn't the chocolatey taste. My friend had the Minty Lychee Tea Freeze, which was very refreshing. Not too sweet and it was a good combination of mint and lychee. Definitely would have that the next time!
