Love their honey mustard chicken!

Located near where I stay makes it conveniently available for satisfying my food cravings after a tired day.

A Chicken Chop that cost just $7.90 comes with either fries/ rice and 2 other side dish to choose from. For a small eater, this meal would be able to feed 2!

If you are a big eater, and this is not enough for you? You can also choose to top up $2.50 for a mushroom soup that is thick and savoury and you can totally taste and eat the mushroom bits in the soup unlike many that choose to blend the soup into puree mode, Lava Rock choose to allow you to taste and savour on the mushroom bits in the soup also proving that their soup are not made from Campbell after all.

Only down side: Their mushroom soup used to come with free garlic bread but now they decided to charge the garlic bread for $2 if you actually want any in the 1st place.

Only thing to compensate: A friendly server who would always smile and be very polite serving and advising you on their menu.

Was sourcing for a cake to celebrate my best friend's birthday and happen to walk passed this little café at the basement of The Central Clark Quay and decided to buy one for the birthday girl.

Just a single mouth and it came really as a surprise. Bought the tiramisu flavour. They have many other interesting taste that the lady boss came up with and even tiramisu comes with 2 types: Rum or without Rum. Good for people who dislike alcohol taste or allergic to it.

Worth the money Waffle ice-cream! Smile Sep 11, 2013

This little cafe has a small counter which 2 ladies will prepare the dessert/drinks for you. Place is small but able to still hold a capacity of 20+ in the entire place. The waffles available is made up of belgium waffle look-alike waffles thats is fluffy and soft and made on the spot when you order. They also have half waffle choice made available for people especially ladies who want some desserts but do not have enough stomach space for a whole waffle all by yourself. waffle ice-cream price range about $9.90 and if you order tiramisu ice-cream, that is another $1 extra. if you order half waffle, the price would be around $6+..

Other than sweet waffles available, they also have some savoury flavours available for people to choose from and hot and cold beverages that consist of special tea mix and smoothies.
Sinfully chocolate

Sinfully chocolate

Sinfully chocolate is made up pf chocolate flakes and coco crunch and chocolate sauce. REALLY VERY SINFULLY SWEET. Too sick for 1 person's consumption. Chocolate lovers will really enjoy this to their fill.
Smokey Milk Tea

Smokey Milk Tea

This milk tea latte has a tinge of malt taste to it. Not too bad a taste. Smells alot like the kind of korean tea that you will drink when eating korean bbq. Not too sweet and a good tea to match the ultra sweet ice cream. the cup they use is also very thoughtful. It's a cup that has the concept of thermo flask and you dont have to worry scalding your hand while drinking the latte at all. And another cute thing that attracts me is the coco powder image that is stencil onto the foam of the drink making it too cute for me to even want to destroy the image.

Hamburger Steak

Hamburger Steak

Totally a must try! looks small but totally filling. No beefy smell to the Hamburger patty. Patty is juicy and not over cook at all!
Blue Berries Tart

Blue Berries Tart

Love this tart that I have ordered as well. the blue berries are crunchy and yummy and not soggy at all! Sweet but not jelat. awesome sweet note to end a meal.
Mixed Berries Tart

Mixed Berries Tart

A little sour and if you don't love sour food like me, don't try their Strawberry Tart or Mixed berries Tart.
Tonkatsu

Tonkatsu

My big eater boyfriend picked their tonkatsu and initially I thought it would at least come with rice but apparently as you can see, it did not. The pork cutlet only come with additional lettuce salad. Their Japanese salad dressing is awesome and worth a try! According to him, the portion still fill his stomach just nice after all so not too bad I guess?

This place is a little noisy but ambience and lighting of this place is good for couple dates if you don't mind the noisy environment. The day I popped by I even witnessed a guy proposed to his teary girlfriend before her group of her girlfriends. smile

Food for thought indeed. Smile Sep 30, 2013

I have a liking for cafe or restaurant that embraces the concept for their customers to customise their own dish. I guess it's a little more of a hassle for the chef but definitely more pleasing to the individual customers since all of us have unique taste.

Like eighteen chef, Food for thought also have the similar interesting concept that I love, one which allow customers to be adventurous to customize their own dish.

As you can see, the price of the various 'ingredients' are stated individually and you can easily customize your own dish according to your taste bud and also, financial practicalitly wise, according to your budget.

Now that there is also circle line that leads to Botanical Garden, makes travelling alot easier.

The garlic mushroom smell and taste really good and does not have a too over powering garlic taste. People like me who do not prefer too heavy garlic taste would still love it i'm sure.

Salad is freshly made and vegetables are really crunchy and good.

Sausage is grilled(I supposed) nicely and not too geasy. Chewy and tangy.

Love my own customized dish! smile
