When Coco Ichibanya first opened, the queues were very long. Now, it has died down quite a bit probably because it does not have much novelty anymore. The food standard still remains though. I had the chicken omelette rice, something different from what I usually order (without the omelette). The thin layer of egg wrapped around the rice was delicious! The thin layer of egg did not break easily. The curry was also still as good. If you are daring enough, try ordering your dish with the highest level of spiciness.

I happened to pass by Famous Amos and got these cookies today after dinner at JEM. They were having a promotion (I think you've got to flash the white NTUC card and you can get 50grams free with 300grams of purchase) so I got 300 grams of cookies - mixed Chocolate chip and macadamia and Chocolate chip and pecan cookies for $16.50. The texture of the cookies was very crunchy. They were not too sweet too.

the rice was pandan flavoured and very fragrant. The otah was soggy and cold and it was disappointing. The chicken wing was crispy (do not takeaway if you're not intending to eat it immediately, or request for them to pack separately as it may become soggy!) as it was deep-fried with batter. The batter was also quite delicious. The curry vegetables were not bad too, soft enough yet not too soft. The chilli was a bit sweet and spicy. Overall, this is worth a try

This plate of roasted duck meat rice with roasted pork meat costs $4. I find that it is quite cheap since the portion is quite big. There is plentiful of meat which justifies the higher price after the add-on. The roasted meat was juicy and tasty and absorbed the mildly sweet dark sauce well. The duck meat was also quite thick, making me convinced that this plate of roasted meat rice is well worth the $4 paid.

I had a plate of nasi goreng pattaya for $4.50. The pricing is quite reasonable. I was really hungry so it tasted quite yummy to me.

The service here is quite slow but since I was with a group of friends, we were chatting and all so it did not really affect us.

The chilli sauce was not a lot and the omelette wrapping the rice was a thin layer yet did not break easily. The grains of rice were moist and and sweet.

Their menu is quite extensive with many choices.
