Dim Sum Smile Dec 22, 2013

xiao long bao $4.80
These buns were filled with piping hot broth and succulent meat fillings. However, I feel that Ding Tai Fung's version beats this still.

tofu with seafood paste $4.80
The tofu was soft and delicate but the seafood paste was mediocre.

wanton with chilli oil $5.80
I will order this again! The chilli oil appeared oily but did not feel oily in the mouth. It wasn't really spicy but was fragrant.

chee cheong fun with scallop $5.80
The chee cheong fun was smooth but scallop was very thinly sliced which wasn't well worth the price.

Recommended Dish(es):  Wanton with chilli oil

Ordered a Sea-cret b-day package for $74.95. It includes a giant fried platter, gala platter, 4 soups, 1 garden salad, 1 birthday tower (soft drink in a unique tower dispenser for sharing) and a sizzling brownie.

The soup was quite thick and creamy and could be better if it was less thick. The garden salad's dressing tasted average and seemed like a rather cheap dish. The sizzling brownie was good because it was served sizzling hot with caramel sauce yet not too sweet. The platters were good. The seafood was fresh but the rice was a little cold. The fried food items were crispy and had a good batter.

This package is great for sharing with friends or family.

Western food Cry Dec 17, 2013

Lamb chop 18.50: The lamb chop eat is too tough and salty. The standard has dropped greatly. The meat is also quite dry and it used to be juicy but now it has changed. The mash potato is still acceptable and is a bit moist. The vegetable is a bit undercooked.

Pesto salmon sauce 16.90: The salmon is quite dry. It feels like it is overgrilled or the quality is not fresh enough as it is a bit hard. The mushroom sauce that comes separate is rather thick and it is not hot. At least it gave the salmon added taste.

Iced avocado Smile Dec 17, 2013

I had a bowl of iced avocado today as the weather was really hot. There were black sugar and condensed milk as toppings. This dessert is made up of shaved ice, chopped avocadoes, grapefruits and red beans. This is priced at $3.50 which is acceptable. This dessert is good to quench one's thirst especially on a hot day.

I like how there is a dining-in area allocated for bengawan solo although the area is quite cramped but it allows diners to dine in and enjoy their desserts.

salmon don
the fat juicy fish roes toppings burst into your mouth with every bite. The salmon sashimi slices were not of top notch quality but enough to satisfy one's cravings. It will be more shiok if the slices were thicker though.

shiok maki gen 1 $16.80
Besides the combination of grilled eel, lightly grilled salmon and fish roe toppings, it was also the yellow sauce that makes shiok maki shiok. I can't tell what sauce it was but it sure was delicious. The grilled salmon melts in the mouth and the combination is just heavenly!

Waiting time was very long - approximately an hour as usual.
