Hokkien Mee Smile Dec 31, 2013
Categories : Coffeeshop | Noodles

The bee hoon and noodles were very fine and smooth and they were packed with flavours from the gravy used to cook the hokkien mee. The prawns and squids were fresh too but the squids tasted a little tough and they were more of normal squids. The chilli tasted more sweet than spicy. Price: $5 portion - meant for sharing unless you've got a really huge appetite!

Yummy steak Smile Dec 31, 2013

The tenderloin is $42 which is rather expensive but the steak was soooo thick and juicy. I had it cooked medium and the centre was more raw. The steak came with broccoli and beans which tasted average. The corn on the cob was lightly grilled and was sweet and juicy. Highlight of this dish has got to be the delicious steak which was well-seasoned and tender.

Lunch buffet  Smile Dec 30, 2013

Lunch buffet costs $46++ and there is quite a number of variety although not the best but reasonable and enough to keep one full. I had saved the stomach for desserts and their cakes were not very sweet and they were not dry. The crème brulee had a good torched surface and soft insides. Besides the desserts section, their seafood section was quite fresh too although the lobster and oysters were only available during dinner time (with a heftier price to pay). Their hot plates were so-so.

Recommended Dish(es):  Creme Brulee

Bee hoon fried fish soup Smile Dec 30, 2013

I had their bee hoon fried fish soup for $4. The fried fish was quite thick and the meat was tender too. It tasted something different from the usual fried fish that other stalls offer and I would say this is one of the best! The bee hoon soup was plain tasting and the texture was smooth. What makes this stall special is the way they do their fried fish so be sure to try that smile

Chawanmushi $2.80 - it was served hot and remained hot even halfway through our meal. The egg was smooth and silky.

salmon aburi roll $14.50 this was da bomb! there was a smoky flavour and aroma and the mentaiyaki on top gave it extra flavour. everything was good!

scallop mentaiyaki $13.90 - the scallops were thinly sliced and topped with mentaiyaki which was a perfect combination. Yummy and must try!
