One of Best Roasted Meat Smile Oct 21, 2013

Alex’s Eating House was introduced by a colleague of mine claiming it offers one of best roasted meat in Singapore. When we reached at 12.40pm, it was packed with hungry diners. We finally got a table after waiting for about 10 minutes. I ordered a Char Siew Roasted Pork combination. I was amazed by the amount of large pieces of meat at only $4. The Char Siew is well-marinated, sweet and slightly charred. The roasted pork is crispy and the meat is savory. lol

Each time I visit Blanco Court Prawn Mee I will usually order some East Coast Ngor Hiang as an appetizer as I wait patiently for my Prawn Mee to arrive. They have quite a vast variety of items for one to choose. To name a few – Ngor Hiang, Prawn Crackers, Pink Sausage, Yam Fritters, Century Egg, Fishball and etc. The Prawn Crackers and Pink Sausage are superb but the Yam Fritters is rather hard and dry.

Since my last visit to Sofra Turkish Cafe & Restaurant, I’ve have been craving for their Chicken Kebap. This time, I brought love <3 there for lunch. Since Doner Kebap Rice is highly recommended by me, love also ordered that. This time we ordered starters to share – Salad Plate – a combination of sofra salad, eggplant salad, hummus and vine leaves roll. The presentation for this Salad Plate is eye-catching. The eggplant salad is well marinated and delightful. The vine leaves roll is something unique and sweet tasting. We also ordered a Turkish Bread to go along with our Salad Plate. The Turkish Bread is warm and fluffy and taste great with the Salad Plate. smile

Affordable Japanese food Smile Oct 20, 2013

Teriyaki Chicken Rice Bowl

Teriyaki Chicken Rice Bowl

Whenever I crave for Japanese food, I always thought of Ichiban Sushi. What I really like about Ichiban Sushi is that it is conveniently located in shopping malls and the food they offer is really value-for-money. There is a wide variety of combination sets to choose hence at times it is difficult to decide on one! Sometimes they also offer ‘Special Sets’ introducing new items at a discounted price. I personally like his Teriyaki Chicken Rice Bowl. The chicken is fried and the exterior has absorbed the teriyaki sauce hence the chicken is flavorsome. Simple yet satisfying…

Fried Fish Soup

Fried Fish Soup

Seow Choon Hua Restaurant is rather rundown however there are several great foods. This is one of my favorite Fried Fish Soup in Singapore. Unlike those normal Fried Fish Soup, this fried fish is breaded. To some extent similar to those breaded Fish and Chip in Western Cuisine. The fried fish is also served in a separate bowl to prevent the fried fish turning soggy. How thoughtful of the Cook. The fish is crispy outside and moist inside. lol

Recommended Dish(es):  Fried Fish Soup

Spending per head: Approximately $5(Lunch)
