Hunger diners queuing for orders

My colleagues and I frequent Blanco Court Prawn Mee for lunch since it is a stone throw away from our office. The queue here can get long at times (as seen from the picture), but the Prawn Mee here is really worth waiting for. The prawns are big and are thoughtfully sliced into halves, clean from the prawns waste and ease for diners to de-shell. The flesh of the prawns is juicy and bouncy. The broth has a strong savory prawn flavor. Thumbs-up!

Spending per head: Approximately $6(Lunch)

Durian flavor

Durian flavor

We were shopping at AMK Hub on one weekend and saw a group of people, dressed like scientists, surrounding a counter. I was wondering why the “lab workers” were in a shopping mall. So I dragged Love <3 to check out the counter.

Just as we approached the counter, vast amount of "smoke" came out from a mixer. Then we realized it is Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream! I remember seeing it in one of the Polytechnics’ Open House!

Anyway, it is a new method of making ice cream. A Liquid Nitrogen (LN2) is added to a mixture while stirring it using a mixer. This process fast freezes the mixture into semi-solid state, like an ice cream within minutes!

They highly recommend their Durian flavor and so we ordered that. After making the payment, that's where the excitement began, as we monitor how our Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream was being made. The Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream is very smooth and creamy. They have added real durian flesh into the mixture hence the flavor is very strong. Yummy!

Honey Glazed Chick Steak Chicken Steak Bento

At BBQ Express, you can get perfect oven roasted pork ribs and chicken at affordable prices! Every bite of the meat, be it pork ribs or chicken wings or chicken steak, it is well marinated, tender and juicy.

You can either purchase the meat alone or the bento sets which comes with Pineapple Rice or Chicken Rice, Pork Ribs or Chicken Steak or Chicken Wings and some achar. This outlet is very generous in their serving. The Honey Glazed Chick Steak bento justifies the quality and amount I paid for.

Besides their famous Buddha Jumps Over The Wall, Ju Chun Yuan offers an inexpensive Dim Sum Buffet with widespread selection of dim sum items. . The tender beef together with QQ noodles and savory soup is heartwarming. They also offers a wide range of desserts and I highly recommend their Chilled Durian Pancake. Each mouthful is filled with a mixture of fluffy fresh cream and chilled durian flesh. Heavenly.

Tampopo Smile Sep 30, 2013

Categories : Japanese

When shopping with mum and passed by Tampopo. Remembered my friend once commented that their Tamago is very good with soft egg white and runny egg yolk. Since it was off peak period and mum always wanted to try it, so we went in. Tampopo is the pioneer of Black Pig, so we ordered a Black Pig Cutlet Ramen. It was very crispy but a little hard, however if you dip it into the broth, it is very juicy.
