Delicious Chili Crab!! Smile Nov 25, 2013

Categories : Singaporean Chinese | Restaurant | Seafood

If you are looking for delicious chili crab, you may want to try Roland Restaurant‘s famous chili crab! Their chili crab is fresh and succulent. The gravy is filled with thick and luscious eggs and it goes very well with deep fried man-tous. The crabs are cracked up enough so that you do not need to use the pincers to crack it yourself. Price of the crab is dependent on the season. Currently is about $45/kg. Another dish worth mentioning is their seafood mee sua, it is filled with fresh seafood ingredients and scrumptious.

Cheap and good western food Smile Nov 25, 2013

If you are really hungry and have a craving for western food, this is the place for you. This is the cheapest western food with a good environment that I have been to. For just $13.90, you can choose 2 different type of chicken chop with different sauce. On top of that, you get to choose 2 side orders from their menu of more than 10 choices. But be warned, only order the double chicken chop only if you are very hungry or you are sharing with someone. lol

Recommended Dish(es):  Teriyaki Chicken

Nice Waiting Companion Smile Nov 25, 2013

Whenever I wait for my wife to end work on the days that she works late, I will head to the Starbucks at her office building. Since Christmas is around the corner, they have start serving their Christmas drinks. And one of my favourite drink is Cranberry White Chocolate Mocha. I will also order a Glazed Old Fashion to go along with it. The Glazed Old Fashion is a sugar coated donut like pastry. It has a soft filling and a sweet outer coating. Never fail to keep me company!!

Happy Crab, Happy Diners Smile Nov 16, 2013
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Seafood | Zi Char

Happy crab was recommended by a friend, also through friend’s recommendation. Went there with a group of 8 people for a celebration dinner. It is recommended to make reservation before heading down as it is situated in a small coffee shop with limited tables and chairs.

First, the Grill Crabs. They are grill over an electric grill till slightly charred with minimal seasoning such salt and black pepper. You could really enjoy natural sweetness of fresh crab and the crab meat is succulent.

We also ordered a Steamed Fish for $20. The sauce is very light so that you could taste the freshness of the fish.

Next, the La La. Not in sambal but in clean and clear soup with spring onions and chilli padi. It is something different from what you usually eat at the BBQ stall.

Instead of plain rice, the uncle recommended their Sambal Fried Rice. It has excellent ‘wok’ flavor and the sambal is not overwhelming.

Most importantly, all the uncles there are very friendly and even offer to heat up our Grill Crabs as our friends were late and the dish was cold. lollol

Cheap and Nice Ke Kou Mian Smile Nov 14, 2013

Nothing feels better than having a hot bowl of Ke Kou Mian in a stormy afternoon. Hidden among the blocks of flats in Bukit Panjang lies a coffee shop. And this stall in the coffee shop sells delicious Ke Kou Mian at a reasonable price. There are minced pork, chicken meat, pork kidney, vegetable and eggs topped with fried garlic for just $3.50. And this is the upsized price. You can finish off your noodles with a drink and it cost less than $5 for your lunch. Great saving!! lol
